This is NOT "Live in Japan". This was recorded live in Oakland,Ca. I have this concert on tape. I also have the "Live in Japan '90" concert, and it's different. You need to edit the posting.
there is also a black guy in the audience does that mean its in africa no its definitely oakland colisseum they were the only japanese family at the time that had any sense of good music and that was them at 2;49-2;51
If you don't want to appear foolish even 10 whole months after you posted your comment. Look at the crowd again ( from 2:28-3:00). Besides, it was filmed in Oakland, California. So, you might want to remove your comment, as it is hippopotamus. Unless, you're just stubborn.
Eartyh, Wind & Fire will remain in my heart forever, they're Gods of music. Perfectly arranged music, different styles and great lyrics. I worship EWF!
Oh my, this is one great video. Listen to this song since i was 7, and i still have my I AM cassette tape. No question my favorite band ever. Maurice has such a great voice, verdine is like, where did you came from? Unbelievable bass playing. Everybody at its best.
crazay - Name of the song is Kalimba Tree, it was the b side of the You Are A Winner single back in the days of 45s. I don't believe the song is available for download anywhere unfortunately.
I was at this concert in Oakland when they were taping. Incredible.
It's not enough to say that this video is just great. It's ethereal and my most favorite of all Earth, Wind & Fire's videos. I LOVE YOU, EARTH, WIND & FIRE!!!
i made the mistake of watching this video...while sitting at work. I had to keep my cool when i just wanted to jump up and down and cheer! this is my FAVORITE clip of them i've ever seen. thanks for uploading!
It's not Japan it's Oakalnd Coliseum 1981. There are a lot of Asians in the bay area and when you see the shot after Maurice says "Give me a groove" and people start to stand, you get a glimpse of the cross section of the crowd.

The band of the best intro's ever.
I used to play a game with a friend, to play only the first second of a song and guess what it is. EWF always was an easy guess.

Nice try GMan4MF...:)
Opening song is an unknown piece recorded especially for the Raise! concert tour.
Kalimba Tree is presented in an abbreviated version on the Raise album. But the full version was the b-side of "Wanna be with You".
All the rest you quoted is correct.

Nice try Skyinla...
Opening is the beginning of B-side the Album "Raise" and is called "Kalimba tree" indeed(original length 29 sec).
The 2nd part (very short) is from the double Album "Faces" (side1) and is the Intro of "Pride" (3rd track)
3rd partis "Let your feelings Show" from the Album "I am".
4th Part (which also is cut off) is "In the stone", also from the Album "I am".
EWF is known for their excellent live shows during which special arrangements could be heard and seen.
EWF rulez !
