If she is 40 then she's at the right age to sing this and I look forward to her having a dominant ten years or so as a dramatic soprano. Lets hope she stays away from Turandot and Lady Macbeth ala Gooleghina.
i only hope that the wonder of her voice does not get ruined by reckless directors and ambitious menagers. I hope she can be wise enough to baby her voice to get more mature rep when the voice points to that direction!
I agree with you. I trust her to be wise enough. However, I certainly wouldn't say the diversity of what she's done until now is 'less mature repertoire'. Far from that.
Excuse me but... she isn´t exactly a spring chicken. She´s 40 years old. Perfect age to start this repertoire was in her middle thirties considering the type of voice she obviously has.
