DRUM MACHINE PARTS FOR SALE - KORG ELECTRIBE ES1 / KORG DR202 / AKAI S20 / YAMAHA RX15 + MANY MORE - GREAT FOR CIRCUIT BENT PROJECTS. SEND MESSAGE FOR INFO:
I'm looking into the es1 and like it, but i've been trying to figure out - can you load a single sample of let's say C and have a scale made of it - c#,d,d#, e, f, etc.? Something like the multi-pitch function in the SP1200. Or do you have to resample each sample into the respective tones of the scale and write it so you can record some melodies in real time?
@martin984 Hey, You can adjust pitch (in cents) from a sample and resample it. However it cain't be done real time, so it's pretty time consuming. I don't know the sp1200 but there is another electribe (that blue one) for the purpose of making melodies, good luck.
"The only real problem with the machine is you can only throw one effect on the parts at a time. Or two I cant remember. Anyway, the live sound is much better than what you hear here"
Actually their are workarounds. You can either resample your sample with its motion sequence, and than add another on top of that. Or you can program a motion sequence for one parameter on a sample in pattern mode and than add another to that very same sample using that very same pattern in song mode.
I really dont care much for techno type music, but the way youve tweaked the effects is quite nice and suiting to the weird vibe of this track. I own an ES-1 as well, and i think the sound is quite distinctive and pristine. But i always EQ and process my samples before they go into the ES-1.
Most people dont seem to do that, but they really should to get the maximum quality out of their samples.
This song's sound is also bad cause I made the mixdown on walkman earphones, recorded on mini disc converted to mp3 etc. I don't really care, suits the track.

Ondanks dat het mijn muziek niet is, vind ik het toch vreselijk goed gedaan.
Sounds genuine.

only bad thing with it is the limited soundquality i think, more outputs would have been nice too .. but maybe esx got all that ..

yeah but its still only 33 kh/z or something at best. Would be nice to have an 44kh/z option. But still ill think will pick up one again.
Waiting for more music! :)
