Brandy and Maks dance Samba - DWTS Season 11 Week 3

I know that maybe Maks' method seemed unorthodox but I also don't think it was the judges' place to call him out on that on the show. They're there to judge the stars, and the performances as a whole.

Brandy was the one who told him to push her, and it wasn't really like he was beating her or anything. I know that must sound wrong, but I just think this is another one of those things taken out of context and blown up by the media just to have drama.

They're also REALLY good friends too; every friendship has its quirks. DWTS portrayed their relationship VERY poorly in this season, IMO.

Honestly, I don't think I'd ever seen him slap Mel B or Laila Ali's hineys, or any other partner for that matter. A pat on the bottom after 5-6 weeks together, ok, but this was only their third dance and he really smacked her!

Maks said he was closest to Brandy out of all his partners, so that's probably why you never saw interactions like this with his other partners. I don't think any of the pros are professional with their partners. They spend so much time together that they eventually become friends, you know?

Best samba, a lot of improvement from Brandy, that is what this show is about, improvement from week to week. But they deserved at least one 9. Underscored! This was so much better, and cleaner technique than Jennifer and Derek's samba. They did great with the song that they where given, and they told a story. You could see this was The Bodyguard.

If it true the producers choose the songs, then that is not a good thing for the dancers. I think they'll only get better with each passing week.

It was strange. Dancing was better than last week for sure, but still not that great it lacks excitement of a samba. I think the song didn't fit nor did the story at least not for Samba. It didn't help that Len got on Maks for his teaching style which made Maks look like the jerk. Brandy having to play the victim role in rehearsal set everything off in the wrong direction from the start so sad, because I really think she's trying very hard, but the chemistry is lacking a bit.

I think every week they will improve. Gotta remember that in the beginning of every season on DWTS, the couples start off a little slow and the better ones pick it up a notch by the 4th/5th week. They had the best Samba of the night IMO, and next up is the Rumba - I expect to see a lot of sexy moves.

They where given a song from The Bodyguard. They did great with the song they where given. I do not think Brandy came off like the victim, she was correcting the mistakes by the producers.

he's the toughest guy teacher but his choreography sucks in this one. and the song didnt match much with the dance also, he makes all his partners cry so i can see why he hasnt won the throphy lol its hard to watch cause brandy is trying really hard and i can see why she gets frustrated

@RaptorLuv He didn't make Mel B cry, or Laila Ali, or Debi Mazar, or Willa Ford. Nobody called Derek a jerk last season when he told Nicole that her complaints were "the stupidest thing he'd ever heard."

People just seem very keen on jumping to call Maks an ass, even though all of his partners have always said how much they adore him and how sweet he actually is.

@belladharma uuuuhhhh FYI, actually Willa did cry and really made Denise Richards cry in Season 8 and he also crossed a line with Laila in season 4 and it even made him feel bad enough to bring her flowers the next day not to mention Erin Andrews so..........

At some point EVERY season he gets into it with all of his partners but almost ALL of the pros argue with their partners. He's not as big a jerk as some think but she's also not a brat. It's just their time to argue.

I disagree Brandy and Maks had something to clear with the audience in that package. They knew what they were doing and it worked! Everyone made Maks the victim last week so this week they proved that he isn't and they made it clear why Brandy got so upset last week. That way everyone understands the whole picture. And......his toughness and take charge attitude was actually "quite sexy!"
