I get that they want you to focus on the detective work and such but, after all, it is still a rockstar game. Going on mindless killing sprees is half the fun. There's a man in a bandana in the trailer. Maybe you'll be able to purchase one thus concealing your identity. Then you'll be able to plow a 40s classic car through a group of clueless pedestrians without the fear of your fellow officers finding out :)

Uh heard this isnt made by Rockstar its only going 2 get published with brand, it doesnt have the rage engine, i dont think its going to live up to other rockstar made games like Red Dead Redemption or Grand Theft Auto 4.

@Kawp123 You are correct. Rockstar Games is only the publisher for L.A. Noire, but I think personally there might be more to it than just publishing. Team Bondi is the first game developer to use this kind of technology and it seems Rockstar are very intrested to invest in the technology within the next few years. I also think that if the game is successful, which in no doubt it will, Rockstar might even accuire the studio and brand it as a Rockstar studio. This is just speculation.

@Blackbomber121 judging by rockstar's reliance on open world gameplay with titles like red dead redemption and the GTA series, im going to reckon that itll be more like GTA but much more intimate interactions with the npc's and more decision-based gameplay. im trusting rockstar to not make it as tied-down as heavy rain because frankly rockstar is just fucking awesome. so maybe GTA meets mass effect? (when it comes to character depth and interaction)

@Neivlak they're not focusing on loads of mini games and stuff, you start off as a beat cop and you have to work your way up by solving multiple cases which you can follow at the same time. So it's not linear but the open world isn't what it focuses on. You can collect as much evidence as you want to solve a case, and much like mass effect you get the dialogue choices e.g soft approach, interrogating or accusing someone. This is according to the IGN website.

It took me a couple views to realise the stiff (who's had the detective lifts up) was a female and the ring finger had blood on it. I know we'll see more of that scene in game but it gives an ideae of how on the ball we'll have to be to notice things that matter, and quckly.

Missing vital clues might mean a case quickly goes cold - like the stiffs.
