@Auslander999, Batman's cave is awesome, but that was in the 1960's. Even then, Laos was still living in the cave days. Today, we are stilll doing our laundry by the Mekong River and hanging them dry in the sun. Well, at least it saves energy and the environment. But that's not the point! Laos is 1000 years behind every country. Still, it's a beautiful place to visit in the tropics. I love Laos.

I LOVED this! It's wonderful to see how they did it in the old days- because they did it right! No stopping in the middle of a parade to talk with some brain dead celebrity. Just plenty of balloons, cute jokes, and happy children!

Brilliant upload with perfect timing for the holiday. I was looking for a clip just like this to embed this morning...I settled on a clip of the parade from 1983. Yours seems to be the only clip pre-1980 on the site! Well done.

Well noticed, pinkept2. World got less than 3 billions inhabitants in 35. By the 50´s, UNESCO previewed 6 bi to be achieved in 2030. But , we got more than 6 billions, in 2010 yet !!! Animals proliferating in limited space, even plenty of air, cleanness,water & food, turn to behavioural changes : cannibalism, deppresion, violence, pedophilia, homossexualism.Psychic space is vital as the bio-ecological is. We need equilibrium ,not only in Earth , but also within Universe. Nice Xmas !
