I sure understand where you are coming from and sometimes wonder if I am "way out there". Between my family members, friends, church friends and neighbors, there are maybe three people who are preparing, keeping up with the news and seeing scripture come to pass right before our eyes. When I speak of the things going on in the world; Fukushima radiation, bird/fish kills, EQs and volcano's popping at an alarming rate, droughts/floods causing food shortages etc, it's "deer in headlights" reaction.
Just grow your own food... Simple solution. People are so dependent on the market for food, and that GMO food isn't really even food anyway... Hostess can go to hell anyway. All those companies can. Waking up is definitely more than being afraid of economic collapse. It's a natural human ability to grow food. Those dependent of the system will die by the system.
I think it's called normalcy bias. People think I'm full of bull and some even get angry when all you want to do is help them to be able to help themselves.
Being "awake" for some time now... I no longer am trying to awaken anyone. It is too late at this point. We will have some sort of a major event in the coming minutes, months or years. Now we are getting to the point where politicians are being introduced as celebs, this day and age is fucking tragic, celebs openly doing coke and heroin and getting rehab while the public get jail time for smoking a joint. This glorification of stupidity has to stop.
My family doesn't listen either!! They just keep on poking fun by saying it hasn't happened yet. They should be glad it hasn't because they're not ready. Yours and mine, families will become the greatest threat to your safety!! They know you're prepared, they know you have food/water. Do you have a bug out location? You need to come up with a plan. You need to have a location you can go to for a while besides staying out in the woods!! A 1 hour car drive is 4 - 5 days on foot!!

Well, I am awake and I am preparing, but I still do what I can to enjoy my life and my family! And if it ever comes to locking my family out to starve, or shooting or threatening to shoot them, then I don't think I want to survive. For what reason? There is a lot of difference between just being alive, and in living life. I prefer the latter, even if it means my time here is shortened. So, I'll keep stocking up and learning ways to survive, and share what I have with those I love.

You are right---I dreamed about prices going up----I was shopping and forgot an item I needed---so I went back to the store 3 days later-----and the butter I usually buy wasn't $3.29---but was 6x more---close to $20.00 for one 4 quarters of butter.
