  • Dio, Rob, and Ozzy. Black Sabbath really does have the best resume don't they?

  • hey if your into rock n roll and get a free second.. check out my page.. rock on!!

    -REBEL ANGEL

  • Rob Halford + Black Sabbath = Win!

  • @DannyGlumsPhan Check the title of video...

  • Comparing Dio and Ozzy is like apples and oranges kids. Ozzy's vocals fit Sabbath perfectly for his era, and Dio's vocals fit perfectly in his era of Sabbath. I love both dearly.

  • 11 People Don't bleed for the dancer

  • To ME it's always been about Toni, Geezer 'n Bill anyway. But I must say that I feel that Ronnie sang this song as a Leader, not as a "Sing-the-words" "background voice" as Ozzie portrays himself in this recording. Yet nobody could ever sing NIB with the Intensity of Ozzie. I'll always remember him for that, altho' I don't understand a word he says on TV.

    I also like KISS , but it's not "all-about" Gene Simmons. :-)

  • да Дио Великий вокалист, но он никогда не будет таким великим как Озии!!! Хелфорд ваще гомосек, блин представлю как он в очко шевелица аж тошно становится его слушать... :(

  • ronnie james is better but on black sabbath songs like paranoid iron man i think ozzy owns him anyway dio is the best vocal of motal ever existed RIP

  • @ixtroon wtf did i say ozzy sucks dio fucking rules

  • @ixtroon YOU SUCK

  • @randy5972 just listen his voice for fucks sake he's sounds not closely good to dio i mean i kind of like him on paranoid and i just want you ozzy is the best on the world and eating bats whatever but not as good as DIO

  • @infernalphast9 Never looked at it that way, the musical growth thing. Huh, really is true that. However The Born again album is a great example of that. Seventh star also. also did you know Halford is a fucking fag?

  • @infernalphast9 overall I would agree with you, however I would definitely go see the show, if even just for the sake of the novelty of it. Honestly i would rather see Iommi/Butler/Ward (or Appice) doing something together rather than nothing. Those musicians are really a good example of the sum of their parts being greater than the whole. Besides, I'm only 17, and having never had a chance to see any of them live, i would kill for the chance to see the original BS just to say I saw it.

  • @infernalphast9 Lol whatever you say mate.

  • @infernalphast9 I'm saying it helped their career! god you really are fucking mental ain't cha!

  • @infernalphast9 Oh yes take the piss out of ozfest, even though it made the start of many greats careers, Van Halen for example. And can you please stop the Sharon jokes i just hate reading shit like that when she could have died from cancer.

  • @infernalphast9 Without sharon he wouldn't be where his is today same vice versa! he has never sold out he has done what he wanted which is what a real heavy metal singer does!

  • @infernalphast9 To be fair Dio was one of the greats and he did sell out every stadium, Just like Ozzy. They are very similar if you think about it but don't take the piss out of sharon, she's gone through tons of shit to get to where she is today, Granted all because of Ozzy but she worked for ELO for years before Ozzy.

  • @infernalphast9 I own multiple black sabbath albums on disc. Head and chest voice are types of singing. Moth Black sabbath fans think geezer wrote 99 percent of the lyrics but according to Ozzy's bio "I am Ozzy" He wrote them equally along side geezer. a#6? i don't know.

  • @infernalphast9 listen it isn't a competition Ozzy Is best get over it!

  • @infernalphast9 AAAAAAAAAH Sorry man, i didn´t read well and my english isn´t perfect, because im not american, in that way you are right, Ozzy got lucky, even Tony Martin, the most underrated vocalist of Black Sabbath is better singer than Ozzy, He is just a name in the music industry.

  • @infernalphast9 so, Dio didn´t get the job because his voice?, he got it because he got lucky?

  • @infernalphast9 You are the first to ever come back with a conversastion, thanx. Blue Cher had kids leaving the "pre pit" with bleeding ear drums in '69 [ I think ]. Do believe it was a 116 decibles. Gonna add some Cher to my list right now! cfjhoz on the TUBE. OzWizzard on face. !m! DIME UP !m! CFH SDMF!

  • Who cares who created it? What a dumb arguement . I always heard it was Blue Cher if ya ever heard of them.

  • Ozzy didn´t create Heavy Metal, it was Toni Iommy, and Dio was a Better vocalist for Sabbath and you know it, Ozzy isn´t bad, but hes vocal range is pretty weak, and you know it.

  • i wonder, dio... what he made to heavy metal? show me some facts that proves that him made some fucking god shit...

  • The real black sabbath was from birmingham, ALL of them.

  • Ozzy has a more rock n roll kind of voice, as dio is more metal..

  • Damn... I don't get it why do you still abuse Ozzy. He's voice is awesome. Not the best on all over the world, but one of the greatest ever! I love Heaven and Hell and Dio too, but Black Sabbath with Ozzy made some kind of music, that I'm gonna to show my children and grandchildren in the future.

At a glance: Ozzy is great, Dio is great, Black Sabbath was and is the best!

  • Halford sounds terrible here

  • OZZY SUCK DIO AND HALFORD ARE THE METAL GODS!!!!

  • @Quartered3000 Oh fuck off Ozzy Created Heavy metal. The real black sabbath was from birmingham, ALL of them, not this wannabe ozzy!

  • @suicycle9 You can't really tell who created Heavy Metal, theres not even a proper definition of it.

  • @Murder4Survival Most people in the music buiness count it as a fact that black sabbath created heavy metal.

  • @suicycle9 I still don't get it, Black Sabbath shure has a lot of credit in promoting Heavy Metal, but in the begening (say late 60's) that didn't even existed, I mean, there are blues songs in the first Sabbath records as well as a whole lot of bands who later turned to be quite important in the metal scene. Some people make it sound like if Sabbath alone carried the name of Heavy Metal like Atlas once carried the world.

  • @Murder4Survival But then their blues turned into rock, then hard rock, then heavy metal. they perfected heavy metal before anyone else.

  • Dio is God. Look it up.

  • @HOTRODGUITARSHOP Dio is okay, ozzy is god!

  • @HOTRODGUITARSHOP It's all coming together. Dio has shed his mortal form and returned to save us from the pit of failure we have dug ourselves into. All we have to do is hear and spread the word he left with us.

"The less that you give, you're a taker."

  • Dio was way better than Ozzy, but....

Dio was meant for Rainbow and Ozzy was meant for Sabbath... if you try to in the other way it just.... doesn't sound right

  • in my opinion dio was better singer than ozzy but ozzy was first singer of BS. He is maker of yhis great band, his very charismatic and he is GOD. O don't want to compare them but i think Dio was the most powerfull voice of heavy metal but ozzy made it

  • wath the hell are you all talking abou, is ozzyyyy , he was the first fucking metal singer ever,

  • Nincs 2 ugyanolyan énekes DIO(nyugodjon békében) egyébként is sokkal magasabb hangon énekelt mint Ozzy!

  • Ozzy's final concert... LOL

Every singer has his own style. Ozzy isn't as talented as Dio or Halford (not even close), but has a lot of his own unique voice (even if I don't like him too much). Dio was not only unique, but had a powerful consistent tone. Halford is the most versatile out of the three, has the longest range. But you can enjoy all of them.

  • classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I could see a Halford/Heaven and Hell combo working out in the future. Wouldn't be the first time the singer from one group and the band from another formed a super group. Hell, thats what they did with Dio.

  • @greyfoxzero Well with Priest retiring this maybe possible.

  • and Alter Bridge etc... I think a Halford/Iommi/Butler/Appice (or Ward) band would be fucking amazing. That is, if the ozzy lineup doesn't get back together. They have all said that it's a possibility.

  • kinda hard to" keep the faith"knowin Halford likes to check out other guys assses.

  • This song hurts my Fucking Ears. Dio cures them.

  • dio had an incredible vocal range and a phenominal voice and ozzy has one of the most unique voices with amazing stage presence. i will always love the original sabbath with ozzy alot more than with dio but i prefer more of dio's solo stuff than ozzy's. i think it comes down to your personal preference. love them or not.. both have made their place in heavy metal history..

  • ronnie dio is great but you cannot compare ronnie with ozzy black sabbath had the biggest nr of fans when ozzy was in the band because ozzy gave his soul on stage every time

  • @BitFrogs i think you have those things reserved

  • tony, ozzy, geezer, bill, all of them are great musicians. But seriusly, the black sabbath band has died. ozzy is a completely different person now. it's not the same as before. still, its F'CKIN AWESOME!

  • halford's voice suits this song well

  • dio is a lot better

  • Ozzy pretended Sabbath would open the last show of his farwell tour. Dio insisted that Sabbath was bigger than the Ozzy band and even bigger than any one-man, but Iommi still wanted to play. This led to Dio's departure and Black Sabbath's Reunion.

  • ozzy is just a drug adict who is mentally retarded, and ronnie james dio was a better singer. Ozzy sounds really horrible

  • dio's voice was dubbed

  • I respect every type of musician, but I fully support the words of faceurhell: Black Sabbath was and is a project of the man who "produce" the first musical style

heavy metal: Tony Iommi !!! Greeting from Bulgaria!

  • Man I hate it when the people in the crowd start singing too, you cant hear shit!

  • Rob Halford just kills this brilliant song .

  • @rainbowcatcher666 Halford doing this is awesome man ,,

  • Who is singing? Ozzy or Halford?....

  • @TheGeezer88

I love Ozzy to death, but he only wishes he could sing like this. Read the title, dude.

  • @TheGeezer88 HALFORD

  • Ronnie james Dio is the best singer of Black sabbath and Rainbow.

  • @monthesun

You can not compare dio with ozzy in black sabbath both are good on other ways.

  • @monthesun and Elf

  • They should try transposing it down a few steps for Oz. Dio did some transposing on certain older tunes as well. The instrumental bridge on this song is brilliant.

  • always love ozzy.....but Ronnie James Dio......someone that I have only recently been drawn to had that power. No im not a kid....Im 40, grew up on metal, but RJD blows up his moment with Black Sabbath. Long Live RJD>>>>>>

  • The only true comparison that accurately "sizes" it up is Dio was 50 inches tall. That is an identical match Ozzy's IQ score......

  • i don't know how anyone can forget two other great singers with Black Sabbath: Glenn hughes on Seventh Star and Ian Gillan on Born again, but the truth is: Ian Gillan is great, Glenn Hughes a pretty cool and amazing voice, Rob is THE METAL GOD, Tony Martin sounded good-- but none of them can reach as high as RJD did in the Heaven and hell / Mob Rules times... May he rest in peace, god bless him....

  • RJD must be turning in his grave. Ozzy was such a jackass to him.

  • ozzy is cool, but wouldn't sing dio version stuff because of his arrogance, and because he couldn't !,he was always jealous of dios talent and dio having his old job from which he was fired years earlier, this footage has rob halfords voice on it,who sounded good, but not like ronnie!,the greatest metal voice ever and most likely for ever!

  • @35troy1 Honestly, Ozzy singing Dio's or any of his successor's Sabbath material would be just weird and would conjure up questions like, " Why the fuck is he even trying this?" Conversely, I didn't really care for any of their versions of Ozzy-era songs except for a version of "Black Sabbath" sung by Ian Gillan, who gave it an air of creepiness not even Ozzy ever achieved.

  • Totally fucking awesome. A God covering for another God. RIP Ronnie.

  • This does not sound as Ozzy singing!

    ???

  • @satanihelvetet Läs beskrivningen av klippet: During Ozzy's "Retirement Tour" its on the bootleg "Ozzy Osbourne Final Concert" Disc 1 featuring Black Sabbath W/Rob Halford (Dio would not open for Ozzy), Disc 2 featuring The Ozzy Osbourne Band, & Disc 3 featuring Black Sabbath w/Ozzy & Bill.

Ronnie James Dio's Black Sabbath Story

så får du reda på om spelningen!

    Sök på:

rob halford - heaven and hell

för att se videon av låten.

  • @satanihelvetet it's Rob Halford.

    #@!

  • @SpammerOvTheGods

    I know!

Some people told me before you did.

  • i heard he just died :(

  • @beaversjak24

R J Dio died yesterday. May he R.I.P.

  • The mind is its own place and in itself, can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven. ~John Milton

RIP RJD! Thanx for everything you brought to the world of music, you will NEVER be replaced! ~peace~

  • Black Sabbath • Paranoid • Master of Reality • Black Sabbath Vol. 4 • Sabbath Bloody Sabbath • Sabotage • Technical Ecstasy • Never Say Die! • Heaven and Hell • Mob Rules • Born Again • Seventh Star • The Eternal Idol • Headless Cross • Tyr • Dehumanizer • Cross Purposes • Forbidden

  • The Song of Heaven and Hell sounds better with Ozzy Osbourne singing it because he is the true King of Heavy Metal

  • @HulkHoganFann2009

Has it been recorded with Ozzy?

  • @HulkHoganFann2009 Ozzy has never sung this song and never will and Im not sure if he could!!!!!!

  • Do any of you guys on here like the Sabbath song "When Death Calls" off of the Headless Cross album with Tony Martin doing the vocals? I really think it is truly one of the best Sabbath songs ever written.

  • @poopollypop I liked it. Especially the version he sings on my live in Moscow dvd. Some of the stuff from late era sabbath was pretty cool

  • wow rob halford sings this song great!

  • one great album with dio, heaven and hell, mob rules average. every album from black sabbath to never say die with ozzy were all great. only my humble opinion.

  • @eric15746 I thought Dehumanizer was the best of all Dio Sabbath

  • Ha ! Cool version !

  • picture of ozzy, halford is singing dio made the song...... i don't get it....

  • @riegrieg but you said it ^^

  • @riegrieg lol

  • this is obviously not ozzy! good knock off i love the song but not bs or even a decent imitation thanks for postin tho!!

  • @keithb617 Dio sang heaven and hell so I dont know what your smoking, this was during ozzy's no more tears retiremnt tour, and Rob Halford was singing.

  • Ozzy, iommi, Butler, Ward........Sabbath. End of story. All others are very good tributes.

  • i liked dio version better but that's not bad either i like other ozzy songs more then his heaven and hell version

  • Sounds almost better than Dio in this.

  • Pretty mad cd, keen to check it out. Can anyone tell me what the production on itis like? Listening to is on Youtube with a 2 inch shit computer speaker don't give me any idea how the original would sound...

  • What a great hook up. The GODFATHER & metals all time greatest lead vocalist from PRIEST

  • i was at this show, i drove all the way from ohio , i must of been high to think that was a good idea

  • brilliant!

  • I was at this show! Drove down from SF not even knowing Halford was singing..we pulled up and heard Halford and was like.."thats not DIO..HOLY SHIT ITS ROB!!"

  • Rob Halford has the loudest voice of heavy metal, since it has the ability to make best wishes, acute or severe

  • Rob Ozzy and Ronnie are probably my top 3 vocalists

  • bruce from iron maiden?

  • Hmm, I forgot about bruce, shit.

Lets face it then, the iconic metal voices are ozzy, ronnie, rob, and bruce, fact.

Ok, maybe he is better than Ozzy, and possibly Ronnie, although ronnie has a more powerful voice, but I still think Rob will always be the best.

  • this is legendary

  • i love halford.....but in my opinion this song isn't suited for him.....DIO ROCKS!!!!!!!!! METAL'S BEST VOCALIST!!!!!!!!!!! GET WELL SOON DIO!!!!!!!!

  • to "ijemekkos4life" yeah I think Halford can do almost any Sabbath song, but you're right this song is made for Dio to sing.

  • Halford is the Metal God, hands down :)

    About the Dio/Ozzy conflict:

They both were great in their own way.

Over the years though Ozzy has lost (he has actually destroyed) his voice while Dio can still sing, in fact his voice is flawless live

(the truth is that Black Sabbath tune their guitars 1-2 semitones lower but the result is just great!)

  • well dio is a vocalist ozzy is just a singer, someone with a cool voice that sing... they are very different, dio is classic i just can think in tate and rob as their equals, is a genius... and ozzy is by far the best frontman in the world, is pure energy even when he can hardly walk, one show you fellings in his singing the other just smile at you and scream to the public... the great think is they are part and invented all that is metal with black sabbath

  • gillans's version is the best!

  • also just to add, Rob Halford kills Dio! He's not too proud to support ozzy even though he's in Judas Priest

  • no....dio is better than halford. dio is 67 years old and his voice hasn't changed a bit.....trust me, DIO kills halford. i love halford, but dio is better, considering his age.

  • no....dio is better than halford....not a question....halford lost his voice a little....dio still has it....and hes more devilish than halford.

  • Rob Halford & Ozzy are the heavy metal gods of vocals, they were both the first metal singers and both form the same city, Birmingham, England. Same as me!

  • halford crushes them both

  • damn straight!!!!!

  • Dio was right in not wanting to open for Ozzy. Ozzy was great as a solo artist in the 80's. The 90's and to present is crap in my opinion. "Retirement tour", then..."Retirement sucks" tour, just to fill the wallet again. Sharon Osbourne sadly controls a lot in Ozzy's life. The man is heavily medicated these days, and Sharon is controling the poor man.

  • and you know waht? if sharon does not control him he would be dead.... down to earth sucked but black rain was a good album (hey! at least is better than skunkworks by bruce dickinson or two by the metal god himself). i saw ozzy last year in the "front row" in south america, and i can tell you there's no better frontman of any age, if he is medicated if he ruins his reputation in a tv show i don't care. the guy is happy in the stage and that is something you feel

  • HALFORD KICKS FUCKIN ASS!

  • I think a couple of the best songs with Ozzy in Sabbath are, Children Of The Grave, Sympton Of The Universe,

Killing Yourself To Live, Black Sabbath, and The Wizard are some of the best.

  • Dude, Halford sounds fuckin great singing with/for Sabb. (as a one time thing even). I SO would have bought this CD if it was recorded from the soundboard.

  • dude everybody likes that song, my 2 year old cousin pobably fukin likes that song, big deal aybody can say they like sabbath and name paranoid doesnt make them a true fan

  • The difference between Ozzy Osbourne & Ronnie James Dio is this: what they work with. Ozzy works out legal stuff & hype, whereas RJD just does music. That's why last year RJD did over 60 concerts with Heaven & Hell-while still touring as a solo artist at the same time, whereas Ozzy's only done about 30 concerts with Sabbath since the "Reunion."

Anyone who says Ozzy is Sabbath is an idiot. Iommi was, & forever will be Sabbath. Under 2 singers he DEFINED 2 distinct & amazing eras of music.

  • you're a smart man lol.. Dio shits all over Ozzy in the end tho. But, i do agree Iommi is the core of Sabbath.

  • Nailed it...! so well...

  • ur a fucking legend.

  • @faceurhell dio sucks dick ozzy is much better. halford kicks dio's ass ass well

  • @NoMercyDB You are a tard!

  • @faceurhell OZZY IS BLACK SABBATH YOU DUMB ASS MOTHER FUCKER,,,,GET A CLUE TO LIFE,,,LEARN YOUR FUCKEN MUSIC,,,,

  • @KILLADEAN13 Ozzy made Black Sabbath with Iommi, Ward, and Butler, but Black Sabbath made Ozzy's solo career as well.

  • @KILLADEAN13 Actually not. Tony Iommi is Black Sabbath. Heard of him?

  • @SwedishCream

    Agree totally!

Black Sabbath aiways had great singers and I don't consider Ozzy to be the better of them. I think many favorise Ozzy as the singer of Black sabbath because he were the first and they made a lot of their best and most classic songs during this period. My favorite singer of Black Sabbath is R J Dio, may he rest in peace.

  • @faceurhell They've had 4 singers or so. Sabbath wouldn't be here without Ozzy and Ozzy wouldn't be without Sabbath. Btw I think Iommi and Ozzy hate each other right being the reason they haven't been touring as Sabbath to much.

  • @faceurhell Can't forget the tony martin sabbath cd's. Headless Cross album is amazing.

  • @faceurhell Ozzy doesn't work out any of the legal shit or the hype.

Sharon is the one that tells Ozzy where to jump and how high.

  • @faceurhell

Two singers? Kinda forgot Ian Gillian, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen and Tony Martin.

Sabbath with Dio at the helm was IMO Sabbath's best line up.

  • Comment removed

  • @JointKiwi What a load of shit.

  • @JointKiwi That's actually pretty sick of you to post that comment. When he said that he was also talking about his confidence problem. I don't care if people prefer Dio, but don't be a fucking dick about it.

  • @faceurhell The Tony Martin era was great too

  • @faceurhell OZZY STARTED SABBATH DUDE

  • @guitarplayer217 Yes, but it was mostly Iommi who wrote the songs and melodies.

  • @jurnag12 yeah i guess your right

  • @guitarplayer217 Actually it was Tony Iommi and Bill Ward

  • @guitarplayer217 Ozzy started Sabbath, but Dio finished it.

  • Halford souds like a little devil

  • Yeah! That's what's such a delight about Rob's voice though, sometimes he can sound positively evil!

  • Halford Metal god !!! \m/

  • I'd love to hear Ozzy sing this song.

  • Me, too! I love different versions/singers. It keep things interesting.

  • maybe dio can sing better, but i really think Ozzy got something special, and a great connection with the fans. he just rock

  • Y la foto de Ozzy que tiene que ver?

  • Rob did well here!!! Ronnie James "God" Dio >>>>>>>> Ozzy anyday. Ozzy's voice is blown, he needs a fucking screen with the lyrics on them to remember them

If you don't know the lyrics for the Black Sabbath songs, then you don't belong in Black Sabbath. Tony Iommi is the soul of Black Sabbath, Ozzy and particulary Sharon think Ozzy is. Ozzy hardly ever wrote a lyric or music on BS. It was all Iomm/iButler when Ozzy was in the band.

  • Ozzzy didn't write many ofthe lyrics? He had a great business arrangement, then. A quarter of the publishing. THAT would add to animosity between members for sure.

  • Why is there this rift between Dio and Ozzy? I don't know what happened but they need to reconcile and do an album together. And about Ozzy covering Ronnie's songs, why won't he? does he refuse to or will Dio not let him?

  • I just assumed Ronnie felt intimidated by Ozzy's connection with the fans.

It would be GREAT to hear Ozzy cover something from the Dio years!
