@voihanpillu If you are talking about the sword monument, its quite modern, unveiled in 1983, celebrating the unification of Norway by Harald Harfagre in 872AD. As for the design of the swords themselves, they are quite correct for the Viking age, though they probably wouldn't have been ten metres tall.

Finns of the southern and western stock were the ones who fought and traded with vikings, who later allied with Sweden and headed east to Novgorod/Karelia, established Viborg, kept advancing north-eastwards as pioneers even after the Treaty of Nöteborg, and defended the border.

In the meantime, part of the "Finns" were herding deers with Sapmi somewhere in the peräpohjola. Probably includes much of your ancestors.
