its amazing how Allen airs out his laundry on screen. compare crimes and misdemeanors and match point. both are more serious contemplations about consequences of affairs ( one made before allen/soon yi hookup and one after)
Omg! He made a penis joke! You can barely catch it but when he was avoiding sex w alison he turned to the camera and said i dont know what's wrong with me maybe its related to that joke.. I wouldn't want to be in any club where I was a MEMBER. Lol woody Allen really is clever
They are both balding, Jewish, neurotic New Yorkers with glasses. They both tell hilarious stories about people getting themselves into ridiculous and ironic situations. If you don't see the similarity you need to see more of both of their work.
@musicfromhell aesthetically you are somewhat correct. although, you have to admit woody is much better lookin, just kiddin. but their humour could not be more dissimilar
aw man I haven't seen this movie in such a long time, I couldn't tell you exactly....but I'm sure it's a scene where they're all gathered around like a living room or something and she comes in with a bowl of some kind of food and she says, " Hey does anyone want any?" hahaha something like that. She offers them some kind of food.
I watched the lobster sscene last night and I think I'm now developing a pathological fear of all arthropods (except shrimp, because, c'mon.) Lobsters are bugs! They're a joke people from Maine play on tourists! Ack!
This was the first movie scene I ever saw that the director "broke the 4th wall." It blew my freaking mind. I was 12 years old, but I understood. I thought it was cool.
i have to watch this movie for my american cinema class, and the lobster part is HYSTERICAL. it reminds me so much of the first time my parents made lobster at home.
how about this guy listens to Dr. Flicker and actually enjoys his life and is able to focus on something other than himself? I love this movie to but after my sixth surgery and making my own changes I have to say WHAT A MISERABLE FUCKING PUTZ!!!
still a great movie, but not so great it deserved to beat star wars for best picture. peace!
woody allen is essential filmaker great in use negativ imagery more then anything else, he is an indulgent filmaker, lacks cohesiv struckture(sorry for spelling)

I always found it ironic that Alvy got angry and upset about the guy behind him - they're practically mirror images, except the other guy is older.
