i mean i know that i could ride one cause im pretty good right know on my little 125. only thing that im really worrying about is hitting the powerband during one and busting my butt. the 2 stroke iv been looking at is a yz250 or a cr500
@coreyhalo20 just make sure you start the wheelie in the powerband and you'll be fine. I would go a 250 rather than the 500 myself - 500's are just too much like work to ride, especially on the trails.
@noid919 ok. how do you not fall backwards? the ones i have road there powerbands are just snappy they just launch off is there alot of clutch and brake control?
@coreyhalo20 at low speed you don't hit the powerband. At high speed you're in powerband already and it's easy to manage with throttle control and weight shift. The problem comes in where you try a high speed wheelie and hit powerband with the wheel already high in the air - then you've got a good chance of flipping the bike. Once you're used to the bike, it won't be an issue at all.
@coreyhalo20 get the 500. The power of a 500 is more like a 4 stroke. It's roll on power, they really don't even have a power band like a 125 or 250. I use to own a 500 and could wheelie it for a few hundred yards, then when I got my 4 stroke, instead of yards, it was miles.
@coreyhalo20 it's probably a little more difficult on a 2 stroke than a 4 stroke, but it's definitely possible and 2 strokes are way more fun to ride in general.
