1. the commands module examples do not work on Windows.
2. According to Python documentation, commands module is : "Deprecated since version 2.6: The commands module has been removed in Python 3.0. Use the subprocess module instead."
@Revevantix did you see bullet point 2 of my comment? "Deprecated since version 2.6: " even if it somehow works for you, it's still very outdated and will eventually work for no one.
Re: Mac vs. Ubuntu discussion: - 17:01, "Terminal -- ssh" implying ssh to binky2 - `python` startup "Ubuntu 4.0.3-lubuntu5" - 02:49, .DS_Store on binky2
It could be skinned, but I'd suggest two alternatives: 1) python was compiled on Ubuntu and copied over to a Mac 2) the files existed at one time on a Mac, the .DS_Store was created, and was inadvertently included as the directories were zipped up to be moved about
@NyubisVideos I used Ubuntu for 3 years, and not once did it put a .DS_Store in a directory. I did `ls -a`s all the time. I'm running in a mac now, and it makes those. The computer in the video is a legit mac. You cannot skin it that well.
Nice class :-) Thanks for this

1. the commands module examples do not work on Windows.
2. According to Python documentation, commands module is : "Deprecated since version 2.6: The commands module has been removed in Python 3.0. Use the subprocess module instead."

This pyquick has helped me a lot with python.

why he introduces 'commands' instead of 'subprocess'? 'commands' module is deprecated since 2.6
