  • Is this not terribly beautiful? Everyone I share this with does not like it. I think it's beautiful. And I will continue to maintain that opinion.

  • i hate this interpretation. everything sounds messy and rubbery, with no energy.

  • Amazing amazing piece. I want to play this soon, maybe my junior recital.

  • sehr schöne sonaten.......... ich liebe sie....

can you tell me, where i can find the scores of the sonatas? no 6 is avelebel at universal edition.

    thanks for your help

    mug

  • It should be interesting to know why Feinberg performed rarely his pieces in concert

  • @OceansBoulevard

I heard it before. Feinberg tried to play his all sonatas, and he wanted to record those.

but his sonatas were too difficult to play.

    so he gave up that.

I dont know if this story was true or not. but I heard that before.

anyway, I think, this feinberg's first sonata is one of the most beautifull piano music.

someday, I want to play this sonata.

  • I was really curious about no.1 since hexameron didn't upload it so i bought the cd already ;) Thanks for the upload anyway! By the way, doesn't this sonata remind you of Scriabin's first mov. of the second sonata a little bit?

  • Only from the start of the scriabin sonata I think it reminds it very little.

  • (But in generall feinberg has some times a scriabin way)

  • @melodnr I think very much of this piece reminds me of Scriabins sonata no 2 as I've played it me self. The style of the scores looks kinda alike at parts, not only the beginning, but that's just me.
