  • heres another thing, these hotels do not have turnstiles, some have keycards but most dont, even the high ride ones, so if hotels dont need this high security, then why do office buildings? it would make more sense in a hotel, but they still dont need them.

  • we should contact the companies that manage some of these buildings, and talk to them about how ridiculous it is, possibly convince them what we are really doing is harmless, it is very disappointed when you see a nice building and you go in to ride the elevator and see turnstiles. they didnt do shit for the world trade center

  • The countries of United States and Canada are pretty much the same. Those 2 and Mexico are VERY different places.

  • I chose my apartment based on seeing the building. Imagine if I didn't get to see the building, then I wouldn't even have chosen the place.

  • Well you just said that he wouldn't get into the elevator....bet he could do more damage if he was in the office area or trying to get one person...so your augment is a fail. Your welcome.

  • @philiparroyo25 no, this is just a fun hobby that just about no one understands, they either think we are a terrorist trying to do harm, or something like that, its really unfair the way we are treated. Youtube has a ton of interests on here elevators, fire alarms, trains, and even toilets, (yeah I know weird as hell) but the elevator filmers are harassed and denied access when all we want to do is check out the elevator. Think about your hobby being stopped by people not understanding.

  • The best way to still have open building but still have security, is to have the elevatrors open but the doors to the offices locked, all of the open buildings in Atlanta that musicfreakcc filmed has that, much better and cost-effective.

  • Yes, that is what is done at RXR Plaza. Locking the doors to the offices used to be what high rise NYC office buildings used to do, until someone got the idea of putting in turnstyles. Alot of buildings used 9/11 as an excuse, which is pretty funny, like some turnstyles is gonna stop a plane. Its really just an excuse to waste more money. And come to think of it, evecuating a building is easier without turnstyles. Now if only the Mayor and FDNY would call turnstyles a safety hazard.

  • There is a building in Chicago that just installed a new type of CCTV system. Part of the reason is because they didn't want turnstiles because they are obtrusive and take away the beauty of the lobby. If only every other office building would have that kind of attitude.

  • That definitely makes the most sense, because some tenants want to keep their floors open for visitors.

  • I agree with this video, the security measures are just an illusion of security. The safest think is to not have terrorists in this country to begon with.

  • Well, you have to understand that if a building has turnstiles then the plane will bounce off the building. How could you overlook that? Haha, aside from my sarcasm, I can understand if they close off single tenant buildings for secretive purposes; even residential buildings are understandable. However, multi-tenant buildings should leave it to the individual tenants to secure the actual office space. I can totally understand if the actual office space is secured.

  • The individual tenants should decide whether to secure their office space. This is what they do at RXR Plaza in Uniondale, many of the offices are behind doors where you have to swap an ID card to get in. Makes much more sense than closing off the whole building.

  • 9/11 doesn't have to ruin our lives. These people are just letting it by being paranoid. This security doesn't do anything anyway. Because like you said if there is an armed terrorist none of this is going to do anything to protect. It's just a huge waste of money putting this kind of security in. An office building was supposed to be public. Now it's just a hassle.

  • I agree with you 100% it is so ridiculous with all this security and I do want to go in there to ride elevators

  • Good Video...

  • I agree 100%. It's such a shame what we've become.

  • Yup. Well at least you dont have to show ID to get into the piney woods. Yet.

  • I suppose the most they would do is ask to see our permits.

  • @PinePowerLI : There are many office buildings in Phoenix, Arizona too. Many of the offices are not restricted, and don't require a badge. However, the doors to office corridors in floors are locked. Also, courthouses prohibit photography 100%, plus security checkpoints and turnstiles. I got lucky I filmed offices in AZ but not NY.

  • @elevatorgeek762 Courthouses here are just as strict, which is to be justified, considering . The office building setup in Phoenix makes perfect sense, restrict the offices, not the entire building.

  • welcome to the new age of control society.

  • you have a serious point
