I have a 50' 3DTV which works fine in 3D mode with the PS3, so why this smaller size 3DTV is out?

Just got a 50" plasma with 3D & downloaded Motorstorm 3D off the Sony PS Store for a tenner. Being a casual gamer I wasn't expecting much but have to admit it Blew me away!!! I sat up most of the night in the dark with headphones & 3D glasses on blasting through the mud/sand & ash until I eventually dragged myself to bed. Looking forward to a first person shooter like COD in 3D to come out but may lead to more lack of sleep.

Next it will b virtual reality gaming.First it was just little pixels moving around on the screen. like on Atari and those video game systems.Then it was 2d gaming where everything was flat and an overhead view of the game as u moved around. Like on the older systems.Then everything in the game became 3d and had a more realistic look to it. like in playstation and xbox.Now they are releasing 3d games where the games pop out at you which makes it even more realistic. You're lame and don't know what are you're talking about. The only reason why Microsoft didn't go 3D and hasn't gone 3D just yet is because they want people to demand the need for 3D. I own a 3DTV and i'm currently enjoying the 3D offerings of the PS3, but i'm an Xbox gamer and i don't want to have to turn to the competition for my 3D needs specially when 3D can be done on the X360. Think of what great arcade games can be made with 3D support, I want Geometry Wars 3D!

That said, I played a baseball game in 3D and that was pretty real.. the ball does look like its really coming at you.

So to answer your question, Yes, objects do jump out at you just like in the theaters!
