  • LOL, Sorian should be on Dancing with Stars.

  • Soren's got some moves!

  • This is so sweet : )

  • " I'm so bored...

Oh look, thats a pretty nice tune *starts dancing*

    Kinda catchy actually *dances again*

Maybe i should stop, I feel weird

    *starts dancing again*

This is very catchy but I should really stop, people are staring at me

    *starts dancing again*

  • I want a dancing owl....

  • "Someone please get these jesses off me so I can do the Jig!"

  • i cant stop watching this...O.O

  • Soren likes this music better than Twilight's lute. LOL.

  • this is cute :)

  • i think owls have an appreciation for music. There was an owl similar to this one that used to live in the tree outside my house. If i had the windows open and music playing, he would come down out of his nest and sit on the fence outside the window.

  • Soren: I got the moves like jagger, I got the moves like jagger, I got the mooooooooooves like jagger

  • COITADINHA...A CORUJA ESTÁ PRESA..

    ISSO É MALDADE!!!

  • AMINAL ABOOSE!! SEE HOW UPSET IT IZ! ITZ JUST DACING WIT FERE!!! I REPOART DIS!!!

That was sarcasm if you didn't catch it, folks. And people really need to shut the hell up about the owl being "abused." It's clearly very calm and well trained. It does not feel threatened in any way; trust me, you'll know when that happens. Ever hear a pissed off barn owl? I have, and I can tell you that they do not simply twirl in place when upset. Look up a video if you don't believe me.

  • @DarkDragon1889

    I think you're half right.

This owl doesn't seem to be 'directly' abused or upset, but I know that barn owls use to 'dance' like this when they're hearing a sound that disturbs them (here, the music: hearing is their dominant sense, so they can be bothered by sounds that are 'normal' to humans).

Basically, it's their way to ask to lower the volume.

  • @ShadowOfMadness That makes logical sense,, considering how sensitive an owl's hearing is. But "abused" and "annoyed" are two entirely different things, and some people on this site cannot seem to differentiate them. That's the point I was trying to make. :/

  • Shake what your momma gave ya, owl.

  • youtube mikeydb97

    need views.

    Thanks.

  • He's diggin that song man

  • Shankin that Booty ;D

  • Owl: "This tune is friggin' boss..."

  • i wish i could set it free. it shouldnt be fucking tied up! ARGH

  • @millieCUDI It's a bird for educational purposes. It's not being tortured, it's calmly sitting on a post. Not every animal in captivity is being beaten or tied down in chains.

  • @TheMuffinBurgler

    aaah okay i see, sorry

  • this is the best looking owl in the world the other ones well... umm...

  • Wow! this barn owl is beautiful! all owls are beautiful, but there's something special about one who won't attack humans when they're around and relatively rowdy when the owls don't know them!!

oh! and i lOvE how the camera stopped right before the kid grabbed the owls leg!

...wonder what happened afterwards, because sometimes when owls turn from side to side like that or bob up and down it may mean that they are nervous or have an intent to kill.. O.o

  • @Zanmos all owls?

  • @petpef

long story short all owls do this, mostly when they feel threatened.

I worked with owls for a few years at my local wildlife center, my co-worker thought it was uber cute and tried getting really close for a video of 'how cute it was' and got attacked. neither of them were hurt, thank god, but she learned her lesson. we figured out later why the owl was really nervous and fixed the problem. I know that only a few years with owls isn't much, but it was fun and i learned a lot from it!

  • Stupid kids -_-

  • i wish i could adopt it!

  • Cuteness

  • who the hell would get on here and say "i dont like owls" and dislike it i mean really!

  • Haha! XD!

  • sooooo cute X3

  • Maybe the owner should be in its place

  • "Booored. boored. so boored!"

  • бедная совушка

  • it's so cute T_____T

  • He's like OMG I wanna go why are all these creepy people touching me

  • For some reason the disposition of your owl reminds me of that of my rabbit. haha. So pretty =]

  • nice manchester shirt little girl

  • i think that owls know more about music than we think..

  • If I may clarifiy, the owl isn't dancing, rather calculating a distance from a given object.

Since their eyes are wealded into their sockets, they need to turn their whole head in order to see how far a given object is. Hope this helps.

  • @SamPD2

    Shhhh... don't ruin it :)

  • I love that red shirt on 0:20 :D

  • Shake your bon bons

  • awwwwwwwww!!!!!!! he just shimmies then kinda stops then does it again :)

  • @Hate2BUmun You forgot Coryn. XP

  • @Masquerade37 Ah right. XD Thank you

  • Yay A very cute owl.

  • Captive-raised owls can become very affectionate, and many love to be pet or cuddled. This one's just fine!

  • @se2sweet i have too

  • barn owls eat mice.

  • i love how how is so comfortable around all those people too cute!!

  • so cuteeee!!!

  • If I were that owl and that kid poked me, I would of torn his finger off lol

  • Woo! Go Soren!

  • the poor thing is chained down! that's not cool. and to have little kids poking him. :(

  • @SavasanaSinger From the description reading "RESCUED birds of prey" I would say this one can't fly, so in that case, what would be safer for the owl? Being restricted from moving around, or moving around and having several people (description says this is at a fair after all) almost step on it? Think before you say something concerning animals just like the 50000 other youtubers that overreact to these kinds of clips.

  • Soren on the spot light!

  • Soren's got moves!

  • sooooooo cute

  • how can i get this owl for my next party?

  • Guess no ones really looking guess I can dance to teh beat.

  • majestic *.*

  • I've read thr Guardians of Ga'Hoole and that owl looks ecsactly like soren

  • @yellowfang101 Like every other barn owl.

  • @x0xJinx0x Exactly. You have no idea how many people have told me that any barn owl looks like the bird in the movie The Labyrinth.

  • @PickTwin Yeahh.

Oh god it's a barn owl! It must be either Jared or Soren!

Don't give me wrong I LOVE both movies but seriously enough is enough. =3=

It's almost like seeing a Chinese man going: LOOK! IT'S JACKIE CHAN.

  • @x0xJinx0x who is jared?

  • @janeesymone Jared is the Goblin King in the movie Labyrinth.

  • @x0xJinx0x Jareth...with a "th"

  • @x0xJinx0x Lol. This comment really made me think of family guy. Most definitely.

  • it's so CUTE!!!! i want it as a pet!!!!! X3 ♥

  • Aw that's so cute!

  • If i knew wat my area's laws on exotic pets, i would offer to adopt one someday (if u can) (seriously ive looked everywhere and noone has any for adoption. Where does everyone get theirs?!) i cant find any law against having one but some person told me it violated some migratory bird law (still cant find watvhe was talking about)

  • @halloweenskystudios they're considered raptor birds of prey and their are strict laws against owning them unless you have a falconry license, or you're like a surrigate mother or something

  • @halloweenskystudios Volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary or zoo. I've been working with birds of prey for about 10 years. You can also apply for internships-I did mine at The World Bird Sanctuary outside St Louis. If you get a job working with animals, you won't want them as pets!

It is against the law to have any migratory bird as a pet. That goes for crows, robins, birds of prey...English Sparrows and Starlings can be pets. Motzart had a pet Starling who talked, I think.

  • that owl can dance better then I do.

  • @SilverVelvet me 2 :P

  • i dance like that all the time when my mom asks me to dance, i am a terrible dancer but somehow the barn owl's dance seemed to be much more better than mine

  • Barn Owl is truly amazing ... The foliage is fantastic ... it has a really intense look .... voto 10 e lode

  • That owl seems to like the Captain Pugwash theme.

  • it looks it's healthy and well-groomed. I see that people appear to be respectful of and gentle with the owl. Too often I seen kids/adults grope and grab.

as for shaking - I thought he was just wiggling his shoulders to stretch his muscles. Certainly not in fear..

  • im jelous at itz mad skills XD

  • That's a really nice-looking owl! Seems friendly too.

  • @Sk8Meowfia I'd sleep with it and use it as a pillow. And make it dance for me :D lol

  • It's stiff as a board, that's why it is shaking like that. It is scared to death.

  • 0:09 to 0:12 is the cutest thing ever :P

  • Dance, magic dance ^_^

  • is it really danceing because it feet are tried together

  • That's adorable

  • LOL! How can they ignore such a beautiful, and funny, guy like him! (What's he doing up so early anyway?)

  • the owl's like...umm...what do you want me to do!?! DX

  • that kid is so greedy

  • looks almost like "oh this human music....do i want to dance to it? i dont know *looks around* oh all right" *shimmie shimmie* ^^ cute little thing

  • He is so cute. Owl; if i cant fly then ill dance.

  • that is so sweet. i love barn owls <3

  • *shimmies*

  • How can you be sure he isn't shaking loose a stool, really, how sure can you be?

  • He's getting down with his bad self. Woot! Very cute video.

  • It's so wise. I think I often don't see this in animals because I am to focused on thier cuteness. I want to work with animals when I am older and I want to work for animals who need to be worked on like this bird. The owl looks pretty mellow but then again it could be very nervous and covering it up. You should ask the person who is in charge before petting the bird but there also should have been a sign saying not to pet it :/

  • @Angiechan100 it kinda looked like the kid asked someone somthing, then got his mom,his mom petted the owl 1st. Then he did. But I do agree with what your saying. Even a dumy like me knows that some animals get stressed out by being touched by strangers. As for the sighn thing i was once at a place that had stuffed bears (poor dead bears) and there was a sighn up that said do not touch the bears. I saw 2 adults and one child pet the poor dead bears anyway.

  • So Cute XD

  • What a soulful animal...

  • It's so adorable I want one as a pet.

  • OMG SOO CUTE, Owls are just amazing animals, I LOVE THEM!! Now I want one....

  • That is so stinkin' cute!!!

  • I can't believe they let people just come up and pet it like that. Do they have no respect for a wild thing? Are they trying to teach them owls make good pets?? Leave a few feathers out if you want to touch something soft but keep your oily hands off that wild bird!

  • Comment removed

  • @Cheyenne17124 I completely agree. :| I thought this was the cutest thing ever up until all these people started touching the poor thing. They shouldn't have him out like that, just letting people walk up and pet the poor little guy. :\

  • @Cheyenne17124 actualy they hope if a person has a possitive encounter with an animal. That person will try to help the ones that are still in the wild. For instance i petted a northern timberwolf once (he was very gentle and sweet) and I would love to find a way to stop the wolf hunters who hunt them just for there fur.

  • where did u get the owl?

  • He's so pleased. ^-^

  • Awww soo precious. What a beautiful owl.

  • Those owls are evil, EVIL!!

  • its a beautiful owl

  • I see all these comments saying poor bird if it wasn't tied down it'll fly away. With imprinted or injured animals you can't just release them. They'd do more harm then good for themselves and for the environment. Just by viewing this vid we don't know if this bird had an injured wing, eye, or some health problem. However, I do believe that if the animal can be released without causing any harm then it should be, and wildlife sanctuaries do this.

  • I love how docile owls are

  • He'd fly off if he wasn't tied down.

  • @cerezitai He's not tied down. And if You study owls, you'd know he accually likes it there. And think about this.Hes a rescued animal. If he could go,they'd let him

  • @supernintendo4566 Yes, you are correct the strap on his leg looks like it's not tied to anything and he doesn't even try to fly away and he looks happy :)

  • @GattiF50 I Think he likes mexican music....:)

  • I could help but notice he was tied down. that made me sad for the barn owl

  • Я что так хочу.

  • That barn owl deserves 5 stars!!

  • Awesome! I love it.

  • MANCHESTER UNITED! 0:20 Wooohooo They rocks :)

  • For some reason reminded me of Elaine's dance on Seinfeld - only hers was funnier.

  • that is very cute!

  • I do the same thing when I don't know anyone at a party...

  • Sugoi desu!! ( That's soo cool!!)
