Interesting but I have to disagree. For me, at least, my hair has never been in better shape since I started using Dr. Bronner's soap. I use the peppermint because it stimulates my scalp and I dilute it a lot because a little goes a long way, which perhaps is the point of your video (I also use it on my body and dilute it as well). It does not strip my hair, my hair has body and the curls are defined (I have natural hair). But to each his own...hair is individual.
@blkchk I agree, my hair loves this stuff. However what @localnorganic is saying is true as well, it can dry out your hair quite a bit (I noticed this after the 3rd or 4th time using it). To combat this I add a few drops of castor, jojoba or olive oil to my diluted solution.
thats mi cuzzin im in the bronner fame my last name broner but my dad said people in the fam started spell bronner rong so we changed to broner some still use bronner tho
1 part soap -- one cap full. and a whole bunch of water. i add in a large spray bottle. the spray bottles gives me all the suds i need. a little goes a little goes a long way. hope this helped
Hey localnorganic. This is a followup response to your response to mcamurray's kimmaytube comment - Assuming that as kimmaytube has informed us, hair products with a ph level higher than 7 are bad for one's hair, then all hair products - including clarifying shampoos & dr bronners soap - with a ph level higher than 7 should be avoided.
i think a person would be better off just not using this soap. kimmaytube pu a drop of this stuff in a fully glass of water and the pH was still 9.5. i guess if you put a drop on this stuff in a bucket of water it would sufficiently lower the pH to the 4-4.5 range, but then what would be the point of even using it? i'll stick to my regular old suave shampoo.
Wow you made alot of valid points, I like Dr. bronner's soap for my body. I find that it does make my hair feel stripped. I'm glad you imformed me of the PH level. You alway provide me will great info. Stay Blessed!!
THANK YOU so very, very much for your video! I will have to find another shampoo for weekly use. What do you suggest I use that is natural, and cheap for my whole family. I have two girls, a son and husband that's natural! P.S. THANK YOU for putting my name on your video!!!!! LOL.
@towanzaify your welcome -- thanks for your patience. since you buying for a whole family... i would use something like whole foods brand. i have had many recommendations for trader joes as well( i have not used yet however). the other stuff i use is expensive but i would suggest trying to find them at ross tjmaxx or marshalls --
@towanzaify giovanni, hugo naturals. these stores offer a variety of brands that are lesser known, so you would have to read the labels. tedious i know... i will make more vid about the stuff i have found for cheap
I saw a video by kimmaytube and she talked about Dr. B castile soap being too alkaline for the hair even after diluting it. Before diluting I believe it was a 10 and after it was a 9 or 9.5.
A few weeks ago I watched a video by kimmaytube and she did a ph balance test on Dr. Bronners long story short I would like to thank you too for your video regarding Dr Bronners soap and natural hair

@mcamurray when you are trying to polymer such as silicone i think it would be rather effective
localnorganic 1 year ago
@mcamurray since most clarifying shampos have a higher ph i still think this is a great natural alternative to conventional clarifiying shampoos
