I know darn well there are no palms there, because he was a alm grower here and he would love to grow a palm, but the winter conditions there are to harsh. I will also say, snow does not hurt palms, but prolonged bitter cold temps. do. It often snows on the palms in Las Vegas. I know where all the cooler palm growing regions of the world are and NS is not one of them. I know people there that experiment with palms and other exotics, but they have to be protected every winter or they would freeze and die.
