  • I love my car, is a bad ass, so please if you think you can beat it, don't think twice, think you can't, faster stock car ever

  • Such a great car. I just bought one last week and it's a beast. Been a long time since I've had this much fun driving a car.

  • thanks for getting this up, great vid

  • I think this track is too short for the MS3. You need to drive it on one that will allow you to spend some quality time in 4th, if not 5th gears to appreciate the power. You can avoid understeer when you gain enough speed to use some trail braking entering the turns to rotate the car. It's a lot more fun that way.

  • @VAspeed3 Much better advice than toich34! lol ;))

  • @VAspeed3 "quality time in 4th" :-) nice

  • Is the Mazda speed turbo'd?

  • @datzDope Indeed. Note the digital turbo gauge in the first shot. Thanks for watching.

  • looks like camera cae doing it way better..is that corolla? :D

  • Quick car, but just too ugly......

  • @MaksimSF

stock speed 3's beat stock sti's and evo's from a roll buddy

  • @125sxking speed 3 beat wrx not sti fast yet im afraid

  • Hand position all wrong... understeer in almost every corner.... gotta have a firm steering angle and turn the car with the throttle... my advice ...

  • @toich34 bad advice wrt to hand position imo.... 9 and 3 always. Ms3 steering wheel is a touch large for my taste, but 9-3 always gives way more steering angle than anything else... it's understeering because the traction control is off and the front wheels have a tendency to torque steer... the power-over is more useful on rwd cars... thanks for your comment

  • I love my 2nd gen MS3, this coming from a evo8MR owner...u need to drive it and sit in it to appreciate what Mazda did to this car!!!!

  • they ruined the looks of this car... the older one was a classic from day 1, this is a terrible interpretation of a "modern" mazda 3. id go as far as to say id get the older mazdaspeed3 just for the looks

  • u forget not many people liked the original when it first came out then it grew on people and then they came out with the mps

  • can you pull a tripod in this??? naw

  • not sure why you'd want to but if you put aftermarket sway bars in the rear and tighten the heck out of 'em, maybe?

  • funny smiley face.

  • Nice video, thanks

  • i need to buy one XD

  • yeah i'm thinking about doing the same thing i' just not sure what type i want they don't make many parts for them yet so i'm just waiting for the new shit to come out

  • i just got one in black with the tech package and it's great a little hard to drive but it's a lot of fun

  • same.. got my black w/tech on black friday.. its not as brutal as the 1st gen ms3, but the power is a lot more managable.. still waiting for the miles to pick up b4 i add an intake to it.. intakes alone add 20-30whp on these things! unreal!!

  • @fazedjoker123 Yeah, I have the same. Nasty little clutch lol. It's fun though huh!

  • ya...STI is 10 grand actually...plus taxes & crap even more then the MS3.

I just got back from testing driving one of these...they pick up like a fucking dream with the turbo kicking in around 2-3 RPMS....

Only problem is its front wheel drive. It has 265 WHP and being front wheel drive it can be harder to control at times when your stomping on the gas....it needs AWD

  • i like this car

but for alsmot same price i will take a subi wrx

    a lot faster and awd,

    this car need awd

any wait this is my 2 choice

    i love in black¡¡¡

  • if you look at the edmonds inside line comparison tests you will see that the MS3 is faster and handles better than the WRX the only advantage the WRX has over the MS3 is traction making it faster of the line besides the new MS3 looks better

  • @ymagynaryo:

a base subi comes in at almost 3 grand more after tax/licensing/gov fees etc.

I smash on subies (even STI's) all day long in my speed3.

I like looking like a grocery getter, but smoking them when they challenge me.

    :)

  • @Danspeed3

u smoke STI's? LOL, you shouldn't race retired pplz driving STI's. MS3 is just little bit faster then GTI, but stock to stock MS3 vs STI or evo..cmon..dreamer

  • @Danspeed3

    I bet u smash Porsche's, M3, AMG's too? gimme a break.

  • I love this car!

  • Dude I like that MS3 sarcastic smile saying "hehe im smoking your azzzzzz" muahaha

  • my audi s4 will pull on your scooby and walk all over it

  • ms3 is faster than s4. there's no comparison. it will beat you left and right all directions.

  • LOL You go ahead and launch your MS3 at 3k rpm and see who pulls a couple cars on who.

  • depends which S4 you're comparing, if its a old model yeah, more recent model no contest, S4 has it.

  • hope they come out with evil looking body kits to make it look more menacing.

  • The front of the car actually looks pretty awesome in black. It hides the smiley face grill. Saw one at the dealer and it looked awesome.

  • sell ur speed3 for an sti like i did best choice i ever made

  • Too bad the Speed3 can keep up with the STI and the STI is even AWD unlike the Speed its FWD hmm I think i'll go with the Speed3 not only that but for $23,000 you cant beat the price

  • hahaha oook goood luck trying to keep up with an sti in a speed 3..not gonna happen sorry to burst your bubble.

  • You know the STI is more than 10 grand more expensive right?

  • FWD sucks.

  • agreed

  • that was uncalled for... negative rep.

  • I love this "smiley face" Mazda

  • Atta boy S....good job

  • 2010 looks like some Japanese anime character smiling! The most retarded front end! I wouldn't be caught in one of these! I'll keep my '08 Speed3.

  • I have a 2008 MS3 and much prefer its looks over the new one. I particularly don't like the scoop on the hood, it just looks too juvenile.

  • It feeds the intercooler. Nothing functional looks juvenile, only ignorant criticism does.

  • Yup, thus outputting more power. the new ms3 pulls on the old one at high speeds.

  • @shkc70:

    Thats Not entirely true.

My buddy has the 10' ms3 with similar mods and i walk all over him. he gets me off the line but when i hit 3rd gear im out.

  • the previous one had a "hidden scoop" the top of the front air dam was connected to tubes in the hood going right on the intercooler,

I prefer to be "apparent scoopless"

  • This is the 1st real video of the 2010 mazdaspeed3... Do you have more videos about the interior? Does it looks as good as in the mazda hompeage? I´m in Mexico and I was buying a mazda3 2.5 sport, but I think that I'll wait until we get it by the end of the month. How is the MPG in this car in highway driving? Is it really much lower than the 2.5?

  • The Mazdaspeed3 is basically a pumped-up version of the Mazda3 Sport/2.5 GT, so you get more horsepower and better performance potential. As well, the 2.3L turbocharged engine requires 91octane at minimum while the 2.5L in the Sport GT uses just regular 87 octane.

  • I've been test driving a 2010 Sport GT for almost two weeks now and have seen 9.5L/100 km over 750 kilometres combined total, so, if you want better fuel economy, go for the latter. If you want more performance and are willing to sacrifice a little at the pump, Speed3 all the way! Both are fun and the interiors similarly equipped--though the seats in the Mazdaspeed no longer feature the embroidered logo. Thanks for watching!

  • On the track did you notice any drawbacks? I've got an 09 model and am wondering if the 2010 is worth it despite the terrible front fascia...?

  • Steering, braking, acceleration all above acceptable levels for car like this. You can turn off traction control and notice mild, manageable torque steer. That's a big part of the fun factor on this car; and, if your aim is to have a FWD track car, Mazdaspeed has a pretty good parts development and motorsports program to support that.... And, if you don't like the front fascia, get it in black as it masks that big grin a bit. I hope that answers your question.

  • "Mazdaspeed has a pretty good parts development and motorsports program to support that"

please tell me more about this. are you talking aftermarket performance parts?
