Great interview Amy !!! Thoughtful intelligent well thought out questions that actually made him think. She seemed to actually understand she was interviewing a rock guitar legend.
I love Lynch and his body of work. He has a great feel for the guitar. Off the subject, the last couple time I've seen him, he looks disheveled. He has that unwashed, greasy look about him. I know it has nothing to do with his music, but it looks as if he just came off a five day binge. I hope the drugs and booze aren't getting to him. It sure looks like it though.
Dokken are still metal, or at least very close. No they aren't EXTREME metal but George seems to be under the impression that extreme metal is the only kind of metal still qualifies under the label now which isn' true.
Look at his facial expression when she said "exploded" 0:20 ...hahaaaa. George knows that era just a little bit better than...Amy? I vaguely remember it too. He didn't quite explode onto the scene...that was more like Eddie or Yngwie. George had to work at it a bit more, but eventually got to the top. It sure was fun hearing him reach the top and stay at the top for all those years.
