Extraordinary Achievement of Human Thought, Please Keep it up always!
One wonders : will we humans understand ourselves deeply & drop all seperation as nationalities created by our own illusions due to fragmentary nature of thought or else we will go on creating a monstrous society no matter where we go.....
What's sad to me is that I live in Spain, and my tax euros have gone into this glorious thing, and I see the Spanish flag which tells me that I helped pay for .05% of it, but there are fewer than 20 people in my country who even know it exists. And I personally told five of them.
Such a sad thing to see the greatest achievement in human science die from indifference.
If Russians, United States of Americans and Japanese can occupy the same small space in orbit, China can learn to adjust its currency to reflect United States of American Dollar reality.
Now can someone tell me who just pressed the dislike button... :P Really well done guys, thanks so much for this, best wishes to you from Sevenoaks! I will also be working together with @MultiNeo84 on an HD video of the link together with the footage of the hall where it all happened (which is not in Oregon like in the desc.) :)
We hired a satellite minivan for the day along with an engineer from Sislive. We also hired 2 satellites - one european and one transatlantic as well as fibre feed through the BT tower and Paris. So the signal came from the ISS to Houston, then to a Satellite, down to a ground dish, through the transatlantic fibre to BTT, through another ground dish to the european satellite and then down to our minivan. It took 8 months to plan the event - but the reaction here in the school is amazing!!
Hi guys - Head of Science here from Sevenoaks. Just a quick message to say a huge thankyou for your time and also to the ground team from Houston. The kids are buzzing here at the school and the video on You Tube has been on most of our whiteboards today. One of the kids got home and said to her mum "what did you do today? I dissected a lambs heart and then talked to an astronaut!!" Priceless!! Thanks again all and best of luck with the rest of your time up there. Graeme
@MultiNeo84 Am really interested on how you made connection to ISS, was it via Houston and patched up on Space to Earth Channel or was it a direct connection via IP or shortwave radio. I wish science lessons were that exciting when I was back at school
@kugelmanco lol He's the new Commander, for the next crew after Scott Kelly departs in March according to NASA I reckon he is playing it cool with a bit of Russian reservedness thrown in. Wouldn't it be great to finish all calls by floating upside down.
@Gurumeierhans They have talked with German Students before...I actually remember a while back they were talking to German's who were considering a career dealing with space. They pretty much talk to everyone that I know of except maybe most Islamic Countries & China...Islam already has all the answers in the Quran so they have no need to go into space & China has their own space agency & their own space station due to launch soon.
@Gurumeierhans This is the first time UK Students have had this opportunity I think the ISS has been in orbit for 10 years, I am sure that Germany will get its turn soon!!
i wish scott would plug the youtube channel, all these silly student talks discuss most things that could be answered by watching a few of scotts amazing videos

great video. Are the Russians not allowed to do space acrobatics? Dmitry appears almost robotic at times.
