  • I saw them when they came to Des Moines, IA, epic awesomeness!

  • Amazing stuff! As one interview put it, they want every year's show to have something the first-timers will have difficulty believing they actually saw. Every year there are at least two special hooks, the cable-hung platforms and 2010's catwalks for example, not to mention a rig with so many moving points.

  • Its Irae, not Irea :P

  • we saw these guys in Nassau Coliseum December 2009. MOST Marvelous. worth every penny of the tickets. I bought Night Castle and Beethoven's Last Night before hand. super talent that comes along every once in awhile FT five stars !!

p.s merry xmas peeps that rok! \m/

  • How is that possible for them to Be in Ohio on November 1st of 2008 when they were in Council Bluffs Iowa for 2 shows that same day, I was there and I have the Ticket stub. Pohband is full of it, Check out my one of my videos

  • They have 2 different groups that go on tour - one that tours in the east and one that essentially performs in the west

  • which albums are these songs on?

  • Night Enchanted is on their new "Night Castle" CD and "March of the Kings" is from the "Christmas in the Attic" CD

  • o thnx

  • If I wake up on November 2, 2009, to find that nobody posted a video from the opening night, I'll be pretty upset.

  • I've got tickets - but unfortunately no guarantees of getting any video ~ maybe...

  • I was there!! But I didn't find any videos on youtube :( It was amazing though. I'm going again on Nov. 14th!

  • I did post a couple vids this year from opening night

  • whoever puts this show together as far as production, is a genius...

  • Paul O'neil.

  • I've met him :)

  • The original Dies Irae from Verdi is much better (and the lyrics dont make you fell dumb when you read them).

  • No one said this one was better..

  • best concert I've ever been to, though it wasn't here

  • i think 3:13 is the best part of the show

  • i don't think this is the whole song... (you can download a full version from their website

  • It was the whole of what they played in concert as they opened with this song and then, after the applause, went from there into the Christmas Eve / Sarajevo 12/24 - opening narration (which I also have posted.)

  • Not Christmas Eve/Sarajevo... they did March of the Kings from "The Christmas Attic"

  • Yes, THIS video contains March of the Kings, my comment was in reference to the song that they played after they wrapped this up (it is also posted on my channel)

  • This song is fun to play

  • Thanks, best version of the show open yet. Great work.

  • You're welcome - thank you!

  • 3:30 BEST PART in probably the whole show

  • i just saw them in cleveland (Dec 30)

  • was that the one in Glendale, Arizona??

  • No ~ see the "more info" section to the side of the video. This was in Youngstown, OH on Saturday, November 1, 2008. Did you go to one in Glendale?

  • yeah...i accidently posted this comment before looking at the info...my fault...sorry...

  • OMG I went to see this show in DC it was great

  • FANTASTIC! :)

  • "Dies Irae" is Mozart, not Verdi :D

  • Sorry, do your homework. This is most definitely the Dies Irae from Verdi's Requiem.

  • I stand corrected--didn't listen to the whole thing : )

  • I seen these guys in Ral. NC and it was great

  • you arent kidding, that was an amazing show

  • if you mean Rochester, NY, then you saw it last year. Pretty shure they didnt do it since I was there and videotaped quite a bit lol

  • I went to see these guys in Council Bluffs, IA on Nov. 1, the show where Al tore his ACL, and this was the first song that they played that night.

  • I just saw them last weekend and they said Al didn't miss a beat with that fall! He's amazing! He's still on stage...just sitting through it all until he's healed.

  • 3:15 is the best part

  • this is the same way they opened last year! they need to be more original.

  • yes, the show is different in different cities. i've seen the show 5 times in san diego, and it's always different.

  • no its not.

  • Seems that the show is a bit different in different cities. I went to the Greensboro show on the 21st and this song was the first song in the 2nd half. We had fire shooting up throughout this whole song at varying levels and intensities, keeping in beat with the music. I missed seeing the fire watching this video. Ohio people missed out.

  • They had fire on other songs though...

  • yeah

  • This was my 8th year going (going again in December to make 9), and I had front row seats. You got killer seats man, perfect view. Next month show I have 3rd row seats. Sitting up close is cool because you get more interaction. All the members were laughing at us because we were going crazy, but you can't see the lightshow as well, which I like to see every year.

  • Best. ever.

  • If this is what I get to look forward to in January....YAY! I am so excited to see the whole show! (This will be year #5 for me to go see TSO in Dallas.)

  • and after is "March of the Kings" they left out Hark! the Harold Angels Sing, It's Usually part of March Of The Kings

  • Thanks for the info (including the lyrics).

  • this is Called "A Night Enchanted" it was in the program book.and i matched up the lyrics.

  • Have you been to a show?

Feeling and excellent singing have yet to be absent in the shows I've seen.

  • Thank you for naming this.

  • domo aregato mister roboto

  • I was there it was amazing but i was way in the back

  • SWEET!! Love the new moving trusses... !!

Now they carry people as well as lights..! holy smokes..!!!

  • OH MY GOD!!!!! And I have to spell it out. NightCastle and March of the Kings. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!

  • I too was curious as to what they would open up with this year. I had also read about the trusses with band members on them. What a way to start a show. Another great video. Thank you for adding it.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I was so curious about their opening song! It sounds amazing, I can't wait for Night Castle!
