i will never buy anything from Yamaha again! This interface cost me 300€ 2 years ago, and now no drivers for windows 7 or Mac 1.6, I want my money back!!! I can not use my 300€ interface because yamaha don´t care about their clients...FUCK YOU YAMAHA!!!
Don´t buy Yamaha products they don´t support their clients
Im.......trying......to use it in a Windows, in a bootcamp of a Mac, but Windows wouldnt recognise it......any kind and clever soul knows what might be happening?
@DimeCrisBag I haven't tried it in boot camp with Windows, but I had issues with this in Vista on my PC. Every time I would plug in an external hard drive to the firewire port, windows would overwrite the driver for the GO46. I gave up using it in windows because I would keep having to uninstall and reinstall it to get it to work.
Currently I'm using it on the mac OS, but the volume level seems screwed up.
Sorry for butting in, but, Yamaha have discontinued the GO46 audio interface, i was myself about to buy one as they where on sale, thoughts that support for a discontinued device would just wont be the same made me go for a ECHO Audiofire 4 and a pair of AKG K.-240 Studio headphones,, this combination also ended my quest for the ultimate sound.. there are "better" solutions out there im sure, but what do i care when Winamp with a ASIO and a 96khz plugin takes me to Nirvana.
@fojeba no it dosen't work with pro tools, only m-audio and digidesign interfaces works with pro tools. 2, I haven't heard this interface but yamaha usally make's good stuff, but i prefer m-audio interfaces really good interfaces!!!! low noise preamps.
One correction to your video. The wall wart is NOT required ! You can power the device from your firewire port. This is why it is a mobile recording device.
