I fully understand that. In fact, his upbringing is that of a white person. He only began to establish his identity among black people while he was in college. He often mentions that he is the son of a white mother and that he owes who he is to her and his upbringing. The observation is that politically it is more benificial for him to be black. I understand politics. My frustration is with his politics and what I believe to be a complete lack of substance masked and defended by triviality.
