I'm afraid that if someone (other than me) were to wear them, if they happen to fall, the extrusions may cause the helmets to fall "incorrectly" causing neck damage. @piwright42 you my friend, must have an engineering background.. that is an excellent IDEA!!! If I ever implement a spring loaded system, I'll be sure to mention you.. and yes, there are other ways to affix the parts to the helmet.. super glue, and epoxy

I can only imagine the reactions you get from little kids while sitting at stop lights when they see you with these (assuming you ride while wearing them)
@warhorseforever ... that's the best part about wearing all of my helmets. the reactions from kids.. on the freeway, they're pressed up on the car window with their mouths wide open, or tapping on their older brother next to them, saying, "look! look", and the older brother leans over and gawks as well.. or the kids are screaming, "look! look!" to their parents, and the parents are like, "yeah, yeah".. until they turn to see me too.. instant smile or "wow".. it's the best feeling in the world.

Looks cool, but should of painted the original helmet black or gunmetal. I find it annoying seeing the designs of the helmet you used. It's clean regardless of whats underneath.
I love seeing the look on little kids' faces when they see me roll up.. the way their faces light up is priceless. (adults trippin on the lids is pretty cool too.

I would assume the screws decrease the integrity somehow.. but I haven't done a side by side drop test using a helmet with screws and a helmet without screws yet..

I put a safety disclaimer in my description area, and an annotation at the beginning of each video showing helmets that have violated DOT regulations..
DO NOT WEAR THIS HELMET WHILE RIDING. IT IS 100% UNSAFE.
Helmets are like complete eggshells, any tiny hole or crack will render them useless afterwards. This will not save you on initial impact which is what the helmet is designed for.
Hey Herbymac0811... thanks for the comment.. I did Halo 3 MasterChief, but you're right.. no ODST yet.. maybe next year.. I only do 1 helmet per year.. I did BBee and Optimus at the same time because I had to. BBee would've been lonely without his leader..

that's cool, but it seems like it would catch a lot of air and make a lot of noise. It would be hard to do more than 100mph with something that huge on your head. Cool project though.

Wont those screws weaken the helmet......could you use a fair amount of scoring and Gorilla glue to permantlly attach it?

Looks cool, but should of painted the original helmet black or gunmetal. I find it annoying seeing the designs of the helmet you used. It's clean regardless of whats underneath.

I would assume the screws decrease the integrity somehow.. but I haven't done a side by side drop test using a helmet with screws and a helmet without screws yet..

DO NOT WEAR THIS HELMET WHILE RIDING. IT IS 100% UNSAFE.
Helmets are like complete eggshells, any tiny hole or crack will render them useless afterwards. This will not save you on initial impact which is what the helmet is designed for.

This is just me ok ! Of all the helmet's you'v made they are all pretty cool !
The one thing I been looking for though is a helmet that look's like that of a ODST from ''HALO 3 ODST'' .
It just look's like it would make a great bike helmet .

Hey Herbymac0811... thanks for the comment.. I did Halo 3 MasterChief, but you're right.. no ODST yet.. maybe next year.. I only do 1 helmet per year.. I did BBee and Optimus at the same time because I had to. BBee would've been lonely without his leader..
Look out for my next design.. it may be an ODST(then I'll dedicate it to you)!
