ok everyone needs to stop arguing special forces, seals, ranger, delta, all of them do special tasks for the united states and they are all bad ass thats why there are so few of them and i consider marines special forces too honestly just because they have extremely intense training that would be almost considered special training just saying
@westsidetrumpet marines cant compare to rangers... marines are in no way special forces.... there is a saying in ranger school... "rangers beat up marines for sport"
@westsidetrumpet That being ignorant Army Infantry get WAY more training than Marines, Boot camp ain't shit when Marines finally get that through they're heads we can all get along... And not all Marines are combat oriented, When civilians finally learn that then i'll not think your an incompetent moron...
@westsidetrumpet Marine training would never be considered special training.. you're just looking at boot camp... bud/s is completely on a different level as is every other spec ops training. BUT that's not what makes them so amazing.. it's the training they receive after they qualify to be spec ops that makes them who they are.
It takes approximately 10-12 years to enter into 1st Special Operations Detachment-Delta TaskForce. The average entering rank is Staff Sergeant (E-6) enlisted and Captain (O-3) officer. Officers are heavily evaluated and only the top selected individuals compete to lead Delta soldiers. The Navy SEAL equivalent to 1SFOD-D is the Navy Special Warfare Development Group (SEAL DEVGRU), formerly SEAL Team 6, a counter-terrorism/clandestine service of the Department of the Navy. You do not f**k with
SAS is a regimental Operative coalition Force of the British Army that is trained there on the Isles, then in several locations throughout the Phillipines given that England has only one climate. Delta Force is complicated: Infantry Soldiers are selected by the Ranger battalions, who then are selected by the Special Forces SFAS, then become SF Operators Tier 1, who then compete for selection into SFODs. Delta is the clandestine service of the Army, composed of the top 0.008% of the total Army
Hey, I'll give them an OOHRAH!!! I can do that since I was a Marine and there were Marines participating in this training. And now that I'm going into the Army as a 19D I'll give them a HOOAH!!! too. Rock on, Rangers. I hope to be one too someday.
@mwhewitt The only show that would never exist about special forces would be the Green beret training and Delta Force. Everyone els has had some sort of documentary. However none exposed themselves. Just as in this show you only see certain days of each par of the training.
S.A.S is the UK elite, like germanys K.S.K, so i guess for the U.S its the S.E.A.L.S. they just dont drop a Ranger Student, they need em, specially now with the iraq/afgan war
@MaxBac84 No we use Delta force. SEALS are not better than rangers. the training is equal. SEALS go through one school. hundreds of men try to be a ranger but they dont make it. the bad asses that make it can now try to be a green beret. A lot of them try to pass the test to see if they are accepted to join green beret school. then some of those badasses actually go to the school and barely anyone passes. then some of those guys try to qualify for delta but have to pass the real school after
@masonbowen Delta chooses who they want to take the test to become Delta. and SEALs go through more than one school... how do you think they learn to work their parachutes? When it comes to water operation SEALs are better than Rangers but land operations then you can say Rangers are better
I must admit I am supprised that Rangers are allowedd to repeat on one part that they fucked up on. During S.A.S selection for the UK you do not have that! If you fail any part of selection you must redo the whole thing. Havining said that, well done to all that achive the Ranger tab, Hoo ra! And god bless every one who is fighting in the middle east!
@saspete Well you must see that the rangers are not even close to SAS. THe US Army Delta Force is. No playground arguments about who we THINK is more trained but for fact the Delta force is much more elite than SAS.
@westsidetrumpet -As a former 3rd bn 501st Ranger, couldnt have put it any better, Marines have nothing on us.

@MaxBac84 ur right, the seals are the special forces In the US armed forces, but they'd never let people film them - it would give too much away.
