AynRand Paul is a phoney. Maybe they weren't the best tactics, but the accusations are still true. What was more telling, however, was how whiney he got when he was confronted w/ it. AynRand Paul is not senate ready. He won't say which budget cuts he wants. He has no jobs plan. He has some nutty philosophy which he idealizes and he wants to use Kentuckians as his platform for such. Don't let him get away with it.

The GOP has been playing Christians for fools for years and now Rand Paul has been exposed as thinking Christianity was a joke until he got into politics. James Dobson was told by informed people that endorsing Paul was a risk because Paul is a closet libertarian pretending to be a religious conservative but Paul swore up and down to Dobson he was hardcore Christian conservative and got Dobson's endorsement. What does Dobson think now?

The introduction of religion ...especially the increasingly shrill, zealotry of (mostly) conservative candidates is absolutely scary. That Conway bought into such tactics is very disappointing.

Matthews understands what Conway's actions means for Democrats. Democrats are full of college athiests, former marxists, etc. If they go after Rand Paul for his faith, that means they are coaxing a nuclear bomb of a counterattack from the religious right.
This means that 2012 will be very ugly when it comes to Obama or Clinton's religious past. You can bring out their sex life, their marriage, etc.

I thought those christian type believed in salvation and some sort of cleansing. The purpose of claiming to be a christian is to repent for your PRIOR sins. I loved when Chris asked, "you believe him to be a christian now?" "yes" "but you want to hold him accountable for his religious views 30 years ago?" " yes his actions". It is irrevlant what his views or actions were to a christian who believes in forgiveness. Dr. Paul is obviously hardcore christian NOW. An attorney general on heresay!
