Seriously man, open your fucking eyes. Its a fucking awsome song, he just uses religious inspirations  to express certain emotions. and i am not a bible basher. i cant stand christianity. Maybe you should watch some of his interviews to get a better understanding of what inspires his music.

@tomlibrary I thought eros was more along the lines of lust. Hence the consideration of a form of madness/disease (i.e. driven out of control by lustful desires) In this sense the songs meaning could be thought of as a symbolism for uncontrollable desires(Devil) mastering the person(plaything).
