Well, First of all. There are more virusses for imacs Which make's a ''pc'' weaker, AND for ''protecting'' urself , u need to buy allot anti virus software's and everyday there 'r coming new viruses. Imacs are just more stable in my opinion.
You're talking to someone who's used Windows, Mac OS x and a few distros of linux, and is learning a couple programing languages. Again, I'll say that issues are WITH PEOPLE. Who makes viruses? PEOPLE. Why? Because the windows OS altogether is about 90% of the market share. Why bother hacking something almost nobody has? Also, the antivirus for my PC is free and it works better than any purchased antivirus I've seen (comodo antivirus if you're wondering) Every OS has it's issues
2. When you hear the "Daaaaaaaaa", press the Alt key and click the Macintosh thing. 3. TaDaaaa! It's fixed.
If not
Put the installation disc on the drive and restart. Hold the "C" key OR the Alt Key. On Alt, select the CD and it will boot the Mac OS X setup. On the C, it does it automatically follow the steps, use the "Erase and install" option to install on the mac partition and it will ease all data there. Then, it will reboot. If it goes well, it will automatically boot OSX
Hmmm? Mac's don't crash? Never? NOT! Mac's are gay! They have no viruses, okay, but a Mac update Driver or OS is expensive! PC's are cheaper. And Apple also have lie because they say macs don't crash!
@elevadon Nah, just claim a warranty repair for it. No point spending more money. But of course, if he/she wants a PC, then she/he'll just go and buy one.
But personally, I think Macs are better. If you are not planning on buying a gamer, though. Then I'd go for a PC.
Both of those problems (crack and hard drive) can be fixed free out of warranty from apple! If you paid for a hard drive replacement you can now request a reimbursement.
Same thing happened 2 my iBook G4. Unplug power cable and remove battery. Hold power button for 30secs and pop battery and cable back into the Macbook. It may start charging. If not than the Power Cable OR Charging Port inside of the mac book needs to be replaced. When I did the above steps, my iBook G4 started charging after holding power button down
Yeah, this happened to me. :/ Your HD is dead. I still had my warranty, so it was replaced. If you have your computer backed up, then all you need is the new HD. If not, then... :( But either way, you are SOL. Sorry. :/
