As a life-long LSU fan I have no problem looking down my nose at State & Ole Miss. HOWEVER, how pathetic is it that these clods are at the College World Series and all they can talk about is Ole Miss? My two brothers went to Ole Miss and I can assure you Ole Miss fans are NOT sitting around obsessing about the Bulldogs. How sad.

@chefnreb M~State fans look down @ LSU fans.... the Bulldogs have a winning record in Alex Box, Polk has won more games and SEC games than Skip, and Skip worked under Ron. MSU started big time baseball, and with Eddie Furness admitting that he took steroids, along with "almost all of my teammates" at least we won & lost honest. Go back & look @ your NC teams all but 1 had losing records to MSU... who wasn't juicing. Skip did win more titles but they were heavily tarnished corndog gobbler.

It is wierd how for the past three years Ole Miss has been matched up in the brackets with three of these four teams. Unlike Mississippi State who doesnt play a national seed until they go to Omaha and go two and out because they finally played a real team.

Obviously you cannot read because I never said anything about MSU going two and out more than once. I was clearly talking about how you all went two and out this year in the CWS. But it is ok, I see how MSU has made it far in the SEC Baseball Tournament these past years..wait, MSU didn't even make it to the SEC tournament 06' season. I guess you all are a real good team. Last I checked Florida State was the #6 National seed, and state beat them twice in their own regional. Not to mention that Clemson was ranked 5th when state beat them two times in a row, and the fact that those teams "historically" have the most wins has nothing to do with how good that team was on that particular year.

i'm an avid state fan, and i don't give a crap that ole miss wasn't in omaha.  making signs about it is a little bit over the top to me, but to each his own. by the way, what exactly makes a person who drives a tractor a "redneck". I've never stepped foot on a tractor, but when i sit down at the table to eat something that was developed by a person that drove a tractor i am thankful. crazy people. yet, i still dont see the "posative message" portrayed for OM here

what om fans don't realize is that ole miss baseball has still not made a name for itself in nationally. this segment was a slap in the face to um (who couldn't defend themselves) and it was more of a look at an team that really had no chance at winning it all and they still brought more fans than anyone else to omaha. also, its funny how 'ddhaac' refers to the egg bowl as sort of a payback....too bad msu/om football has become irrelevant.

Slap in the face to UM? In no way was this a slap in the face to Ole Miss. If I was a State fan then I would be embarrassed that you were in Omaha and more concerned with the fact that Ole Miss was not. Not to mention the fact that it portrays MSU as being exactly what the rest of the country sees Mississippi as (rednecks)! I do applaud the fact that State made it to Omaha but to go there and have anti Ole Miss signs is pretty sad. Oh well, whatever gives them a rise I guess.
