  • i just started grooming a puppy chow still very young. im taking extra love a care do make grooming a good exspereance

  • Chows are good dogs depending. You can have one all your life and it suddenly turn. I groomed 6 in one day. And it was.. no.. fun. And they were house babies etc etc. They were wonderful at first.. Well Let's say I have two scars down my arm were two different dogs got me.

  • my chow sugar is the sweetest dog EVER. Her groomer LOVES her. Chows are very good dogs.

  • They are very good dogs, my neighbour has a male chow and he is the sweetest boy. But just like any dog, they need proper socialization and they are tough breeds, so lacking the socialization, they can do damage which makes a lot of groomers shy away from them.

  • ur right prikteeza and thats also y dey chase u

  • Anyone applied for the second season?

  • jessica is the best

  • animals sense if you fear them,a dog that never bites will bite if he senses fear.

  • If they completely take away the educational animal shows, that does it for me with animal planet. I already switched away from KQED because they showed less and less shows on animals.

  • Hey A.P, uncalled for. We have a cream colored chow chow visit our groomers and he's been no trouble. Can't judge by breed. A pitbull came to the groomshop with no problems but a groomer got bit by a black labrador!

  • We have some of the best chows in our shop. The little dogs are the ones you need to fear! Trust me, I've been in the biz for 22 yrs.

  • haha, I just started grooming school but I used to be a bather for a local shop. I am sure the little ones are the ones you have to look out for. But I think it's because people treat little dogs differently than big dogs, they treat little dogs like toys and not an actual animal.

  • I don't like Chows for personal reasons. I know not all are bad, but my brother practically had his leg ripped off by a Chow while he was skateboarding down a sidwalk. I don't believe in BSL, and I know I can't base the whole breed off of one experience, but they just scare me. :\

  • I personally think they're pretty darn ugly, but I haven't had any bad personal experiences with them (luckily).

  • Just as a computer is as good as the source that imputs into it, which are PEOPLE! And you know how many screw ups there are there. People are to blame or most of the issues associated with Pit bulls, Rotts, Spits, Chows, or any other aggresive dog. True, some just have a screw loose, like us people but If you, as an owner, don't know the characteristics breed into the dog, or are to lazy to take them to issue. The owner is to blame. Not the animal. Who's suppose to be smarter anyway?

  • ...

Basically my reaction when I saw this clip. Totally unnecessary. So much for liking Animal Planet for educating people. That was shot to hell.

  • Animal Planet is switching from equcation, to Entertainment, If you see there other adds that say, "Entertainment has a new face"

    I personaly like the change.

  • Entertainment for the sake of education? I think not. If you want entertainment, there are hundreds of other channels to go to for that. I valued Animal Planet for the education facet, but apparently that's no more.

  • I see what you mean.

But they still have alot of their other educational shows around?

I like both the old ones and new ones, =]

  • Oh, my, God. I am so mad at you Animal Planet. You are basically advertising Chows as these big scary monsters. Now you are showing the world that just because there a certain breed mean "Oh, there going to kill me!" No. Thanks. Now we'll just have more BSL.
