But just like sports, with time the field gets more competitive and players nowadays crush players of the past. It's like someone saying Jerry West was better than Michael Jordan. what i love best about this clip, is i remember watching it at around 14 or 15 on PBS, and the audience repeatedly interrupted the stars with appluase, yet most would shoosh them, and i learned then that in Europe i guess, or for opera singers, you wait until the end to laud them with praise - not at the beginning just because you are happy for the song choice, but for the performance

PLUS i love how at the end he reaches for joy because he knows he hit his notes spot-on
