the fact is the ps3 is newer. if games are made for the ps3. 9 times out of 10 the xbox will not have the power to run them smoothly or at all. the ps3 has a powerfull graphics rendering full stop. not to say the xbox is rubbish or was rubbish when released. (build quality aside..... ahem!). its just older tech, and cheaper remember. i expect when the next xbox comes out it will be more powerfull than the ps3? on so on.

yeah I have been a playstation fan for a long time i tried xbox when it first came out because the rock unveiled it but after playing it I was just like it's just not a playstation crappy bulky controller buttons that stick and just not fun to play ppl could play whatever they want but playstation is what I like to play 360 doesn't seem any different than the xbox a system that you have to buy hd quality reader separately ppl talk about ps prices but they put a lot into it.

Ps3's uses a Cell microprocessor which can also take Graphics processing task off the Gpu(RSX). Xbox only has the gpu(xenos) without any help from the cpu. True that the xenos is slightly better than the ps3's RSX, but the cpu is where ps3 gets a huge lead.(Oh and adding 50gb of space in each disc= less compressed textures meaning less work for cpu) Ps3's hardware is pretty unique, not equal to the xbox 360. 60% Ps3 = Xbox 360 100%

right, that's why ps3 can render better if done right. yes RSX is inferior to xenon but the thing is RSX is not alone it's built specifically together with the SPU's. So in short RSX and the 8 SPU's are one. only different thing is, it's just easier to make games for the 360 since it's uses pretty much the same as PC games.

I doubt that. How can the 360 only use the gpu? Have you seen the specs on that shit? 10mb of video memory? Some crappy old ATI card? The cpu however is a triple core 3.2ghz, so it seems more likely its all in the cpu to be able to run the games that well?

The xbox 360 is built like an old computer. The xbox 360's cpu can't take up graphic rendering task because it doesn't have any extra cores free, they are all being used to decompress. Main reason the xbox runs multiplatform games well or sometimes even better than the ps3 is that they make the games first for the xbox 360, then they port them to the ps3. But as you have seen recently, the ps3 is definitely has the edge when it comes to power.

i think he thinks mgs storylines are a bit convoluted and gone too far in terms of supernatural mix with realism. keep in mind this is david cage the man who wrote the scripts for indigo prophecy which had amazing dialogues and not 15 min of lecture. the first mgs was amazing and had powerful monologues tho i think which was more meaningful and insightful but other than that mgs is more of another shoot kill then watch.
