  • Obviously its clean hit but there is no respect to the other player.

  • salmela is just in the possition where people get really hurt.

he just shot he cant do anything to take the hit.

we are talkign about respecting the other players i think he was trying to injury him.

  • shoulder to shoulder, the man with the puck had his head down, clean hit

  • @wyldbros879 ur stupid it waz dirty a late hit

  • that was an unnecicary hit. he aleady shot it and then he hit him. CHEAP

  • its called finishing a check..LEGAL

  • @BostonBruinsrock31 its called finishing a check

  • @zheitz1991 shut the fuck up the puck waz in the net

  • Clean to the max baby.

  • Reputation has nothing to do with the hit.

Ban all hits to the head. NOTE This recollection of the NHL Death of Bill Masterton (as in the trophy):

It bothers you the rest of your life.

It wasnt dirty and it wasnt meant to

happen that way. Still, its very hard

because I made the play. Its always

in the back of my mind.

On on-ice death of Bill Masterton

  • Wasnt a head shot.

    Try again.

Mastertons story is 40 years old and he got hit but it was his head hitting the ice from the hit that did him in ,. not the headshot (masterton hit was a clean hit btw)

  • dirty hit wow.

  • Noob.

  • you're a NOOB which is 10x greater because i wrote it in caps so nananananana!

  • Touche.

  • you know what seeing it again i think he got no head, but his head hit the ice. i dunno its a tough one. maybe bring a blindside rule in. btw below i meant we had a head check rule not a blindside rule

  • here's the problem guys. yes its a clean hit according to the rules. but if the nhl are serious about preventing concussions, they have to call that as a penalty not because he MEANT to hit him in the head because he probably didnt, but simply because he did. if a blinside checking rule was in place, as it is where i play, players would think twice about going in for it. we can still have big hits in the game but at this rate, someone is going to be killed before the nhl does anything.

  • dirty

  • what do you know noob

  • oh okay, so jeff carter kills salmela on the play.

Don't worry, he doesn't have a bad reputation, stupid ass NHL

  • how is that not allowed? the guys got the puck on his stick..

he got rocked because of timing and because he went to the net..

  • The hit was clean but take notice in the way Carter takes a couple of strides just before the hit. That on the other hand is not allowed.

  • wrong.

  • Sorry, only 2 strides there, 4 or more and it would have been charging.

  • Clean, awesome hit.
