  • Love Piper's shirt.

  • Love it. Man, this takes me back !

  • What is the opening music to the Piper's Pit on this video?

  • @subzerowarrior1 owner of a lonly heart is the song

  • Roddy Piper and Jesse Ventura had the best wrestling voices and delivery EVER in my opinion. That includes Flair and Rocky

  • @the44118 Hey what about Superstar Billy Graham?

  • I remember this line from Piper: "You can keep a third of it!"

  • @postalmeter I remember that one too. A friend of mine and I still use it on each other when appropriate.

  • @MoondogMayne

It was also part of Piper's evil personna that he cheated his stooges, like when he only offered to pay Hillbilly Jim $200/week to wrestle for him; Bob Orton even supposedly went to work for Adrian Adonis because Piper was so cheap, even after Piper turned face-- which was supposedly because he wanted his show back from the Flower Shop, and Roddy wouldn't pay Ace enough.

  • Anyone else notice that Hulk Hogan STOLE his personna from Jesse Ventura?

  • Ever notice that Jesse, Hogan and even Big Poppa Pump all stole their personna from Superstar Billy Graham?

  • @gvader

Graham never had a big mouth as Hogan.

  • He (Graham)was the best talker in my opinion

  • @gvader That's common knowledge.

Jesse and Hogan are the first to admit aping Graham's gimmick.

  • @AmadeusExcello True but more Jesse than Hogan i think. Hogan only recently copied Graham when he made his return to WWE with his long pants and boa look. Jesse always had Grahams look since day one

  • I remember these three against the Hillbillies-- it was classic.

  • venturas head is completely square!

  • ELVIS PRESLEY?!?!?!?!?! Well....Come on?! that's these two Brilliant Fuckers trying to get a RISE out of REAL PEOPLE. Dig these Fuckers!!! TRUST ME!!! Roddy Piper & Jessie Ventura "DIG" Elvis Presley.

  • homophobia was so widely accepted in the 80s...ahh the good ol days!

  • haha EOF

  • @MrJohnnyrace he was back then bozo

  • is Piper wasted?? haha

  • LOL! Jesse is definitely the best talker in the wrestling game ever.

  • @mightykc38 Actually most think Piper was..Including Jesse himself.

  • 2 of the best guys on the mic in the same room.. it dont get any better and good god bob orton put a damn shirt on look at that belly button and that beer gut in the back good lord

  • Comment removed

  • HOW MANY TIMES IS HE GONNA CHNAGE HIS HAIR?

  • wow. When I see this, there were only 4 guys in Piper's league when it came to promos.....Austin and Rock and the combo (key is combo) of DX. I would put Austin a bit below and the Rock a bit above. I'm old school - so not just someone who got into the attitude era (Rock is the best all around there has ever been). Bottom line, much of what DX and Austin did were great writing around them, Rock was pure talent, and so was Piper. No doubt the best heel who never won the belt ever

  • LOL i think orndorf stinks myself

  • he wont get beat up cause he showed respect

  • i guess he aint got no time to bleed

  • Ventura was totally rock n roll.

  • Surprised nobody mentioned thats Randy Orton's pops standing behind them.

  • @ShinoShaw he never mattered

  • He's got Skeletor's Panthor on his shirt, that's the tits.

  • Battle of the mics:

    The Rock vs The Body

  • I loved an still love the 80s wrestling days.

the 1980s was the best decade in the world

  • @BigD123945 Keep something in mind for real. 80s wrestling was great, attitude era late 90s was better. Biggest difference, they had to constantly come up with angles every week & keep it fresh. Back then, they could play a fued out over months and in come cases a year (Megapowers). Attitude era had PPVs almost every 5 weeks. What they could do to make interesting over 4-5 months has to be done in mere weeks now. Most of the shows were filler with enhancement talent vs. established

  • @bwashinski I agree with most of what you say. However I think its the writers fault for this. The problem with the Attitude era which of course I loved is that they had the same rivalries over and over again. Atleast in the 80s they played the feud up so when you saw it on Pay Per View it was something you HAD to see instead of something you would see on Saturday Night Main Event or nowadays Raw. Also I loved the 3 titles wish they went back to that

  • i agree with jesse piper should have been the champion at least once during his run

  • 2 of the greats!

  • The days when wrestlers could actually talk ;)

  • @aks73 yeah. Everyone says Jerichos the best on the mic, but Roddy Piper pisses on him in every way possible

  • "You can keep a third of it."

    Hilarious.

  • LOL! Orton scratching his head at the end trying to figure out what a third of $25,000 is.

  • roddy piper - irish, nokolai volkoff - russian, iron shiek - iranian...the stereotypes demonstrate how different the world used to be.

  • ah piper was supposed to be scotish not iris

  • Roddy Piper was Scottish you idiot...he freakin' came to the ring to bagpipe music! And yes, there were a lot of stereotypes in wrestling back then.

  • And as long as wrestling wants to be great, there will always be stereotypes. I want cracker ass white people, hip hop lovin wiggas (and niggas), high flying fart propelled mexicans, japanese wrestlers still pissed off about Hiroshima, Puerto Ricans posing as Iranians bombs strapped to their bodies as a gimmick, and the occasional German wrestler who feels guilty about the Holocaust.

  • Scottish you moron

  • Thanks!

  • you can see Roddy's 3 dollar bills

  • LMAO why are they playing "owner of a lonely hart" ??

  • because unlike the wwe trash music now, they used real music back then

  • @breannaelliott1 true, they used real music. good pop music too since the 80s the best stuff compared to the 90s or 2000s

  • @breannaelliott1

Yep, they had Cindi Lauper as part of the gang... it was great. It's always sucked ass since these guys left.

  • Three dollar bill rock stars! That's the funniest Piper's Pit I've ever seen.

  • Mr. Blunderful? LOL. This is great stuff! Thanks for posting!

  • in my opinion nobody was better than piper on the mic, especially the frank williams and snuka episodes of pipers pit

  • Well, Jesse Ventura isn't a quiet gut either. I think Piper is great, but compared to Ventura, he is #2.

  • I'd like to have that 25 too. Do you think I can keep it all? You can keep a third of it. That's some funny shit.
