Cons: crap sound (really bad); only 3 USB ports -one sits very uncomfortable close to the right hand where the mouse is; very low display resolution; led lights are to shiny in the night.

Conclusion: not happy with it, i'm thinking to resell it!

don't buy those laptops!!!! they have a problem when they keyboard will just randomly freeze, and it will not let you shut down your computer, you have to take out the battery and the power cord, i would know, i'm using one right now. Many others have had this problem too.

@o1d1 yo have to install the driver again...it's happened for me and i solve it...just istall oll the updated drivers from msi.com and it' will work again.

You would need to check the msi website to see if there drivers support xp, if they dont thenn... your never gonna it get working.

You are so right, I'm an AMD man myself. But AMD uses more power and often overheat. If they could overcome their power consumption problem they would be perfect.

You should check out the GX623 .. the same specs as this one but with a better VGA ... ATI Radeon HD 4670

Why thumbing down that guy? He is right.. 623 comes with or without OS, with HD 4670 which is MUCH faster than GF 9600 GT.. and costs the same - and is in black/white color, which looks much more decent, than this black/red kiddie laptop... not that this one is bad tho;)

Hey hold on now, I have installed an ATI PowerColor HD 4670 AGP 1G VGA to max out the 400W power supply on my desktop and it is very average. From what I've read the ATI 4670 is often compared to the NVIDIA 9500 GSO, I believe a 9600 GT would own a 4670. It's possible that 4670 is better at overclocking but keep in mind that this is a laptop. Not to mention that the black/red design doesn't look kiddie at all.

The GX630 is AMD and the GX620 is Intel, The GX620 is the better preformer.

if you have the GX series, you have a hidden bios overclock option this option is for your turbo button and is on 19% overclocked on default.

press CTRL+Alt+Insert in your BIOS and go to advanced!

you press it to make your cpu go faster.

you may need this while playing games or something that requires the CPU to hit higher clock speeds.

Get whatever you want bud, its a nice computer, and the base MSi GX620 is better than a base ALienware m15x :), blu-ray and gaming for under 2k yay!

I have the same computer and i must say, that it is realy cool. But i have a problem. When i close the monitor down the monitor turns off, and i do not know how too turn it on. It looks like it is on sleep mode, bot i do not know how too wake him up. Please help!!

I really want to get this laptop, i can get it heaps cheap as well, but I wont play games all the time on it. It will be mainly used as an average laptop just for interent and stuff, i will play games occasionally though. I'm thinking of just getting a normal laptop like a compaq, but for only a $100 more i can get this laptop which means its better and i can play games on it. Which should i go for?
