BoF 3 just has to be the best rpg, it beats final fantasy anyday. Speaking of final fantasy 7, sephiroth from it can just go screw himself for all I care, all he ever does is jut stand there and look badass most of the time.

@kingofbudokai I know this is verylate reply, but I have played Final fantasy. It is good, and im not saying it isnt, I just love BoF 3. I tried ff7, but felt it wasnt for me, but I do like many ff games, and while I have a continuing hate for sephiroth, I actually like maining him in dissidia.

Btw I know he plays a big role in the game, its just the impression I got of him. . .

Though this was one of my favorite songs from this game and I'm still actively searching for a copy myself, I can't help but feel the game's overall music feel is a bit too 'jazzy.' Nonetheless, great game, a personal favorite, and one I'm gonna try to own somehow.

Aye, the entire soundtrack was often attacked for being too "jazzy", but hell, it doesn't make it any worse as you said XD

To be honest, to this day I'm still glad that they tried this new approach to game music, I feel that it suited the whole game particularly well.

i personally have NO taste in music, but to me it sounds like they crossed techno with rock. i mean kinda light rock, but still rock. dont sound at all like jazz

nontheless, in this case, music turned out AWSOME.

i feel kinda shitty though cuz i have a burnt copy of it -_- burnt it myself at least..

but i pay the price as well. in alot of areas when i try to camp it just stays as a black screen. also, its loading is SLOW AS HELL.

I disagree with many of the BoFIII players. I don't think it's the best in the series, nor RPG...I THINK IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER! And I was wondering, in the Kaiser picture, why did you have to make this MASSIVE BEAST go after a small Lizard (even if it is fused with man) Sheesh! XD But wait aren't dragons lizards? Dinosaurs are tho. ima stop typing now XD

i have actually never played wild arms 1 before...but i played 2,3,and 5...i heard the 4th one sucked so i dont really care about that one. i personally would put star ocean 2 ahead of bof3 but only by a margin.

That game is good too. ^^ Star Ocean 2 and 3 I think is my 15th. Sometimes I put games of the same series together if their both really good in their own way, and whether or not their direct or indirect. lol. I don't do this for .Hack and Dark Cloud though. lol. Imo, .Hack is only one step above Dark Cloud. ^^ The second ones are better then the first but the first are still awesome.

wow your 15th favourite? its like my 2nd with xenogears beings the first and final fantasy tactics being the third...and yeah i sometimes do the same put my favourites together but it depends...i'd say it could be a cross between chrono trigger and final fantasy tactics. i also like the .hack series and dark cloud...i only played the first one though and i only played infection and mutation of .hack but i still liked them. i'm not sure what i'd rank those.

ohhh you are really missing out on such a great game then id definatly check it out whenever you can...lets juts say you mite change your ranking of games a bit...and it beats xenosaga by far and even if you still like bof3 and wild arms better you'll still love the experience you will get from xenogears

Well I got a big list. Some of my other favorites are Legend of Mana, Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Final Fantasy X, the .Hack games, Dark Cloud 1 and 2, Final Fantasy Adventure and Legend III, Star Ocean 2 and 3, Lunar 1 and 2, Threads of Fate... those are some really good ones. ^^

nice list. i have a semi big list also...but its clearly not as big as some peoples and my games that i play vary by not just rpgs but some other genres as well...like resident evil, silent hill and others and i also like first person shooters and tactical games...rpgs are my absolute favorite though.

Yeah the music is fairly good. It was also one of the first games I played with day/night cycles. I definitely recommend playing it. Its style is similar to Threads of Fate, but its a bit older.

Breath of Fire III is the best Breath of Fire, if not, the best RPG ever made. I've beaten it like 3 times, and I still love it. The game is just so good, the bosses are awesome, it last a long time to get through, there's secrets everywhere, the graphics are decent, There's like a million spells to steal, It has great replay value, I could go on for hours. Too bad they never gave it a proper sequel. (Breath of Fire IV was alright, but it is nothing compared to BOFIII)

@JopeSane no, no it's not. in rpg scale, 30hrs is not a long game. 50 is average. Anything under 60hrs of storyline isn't a "long" game. Most of the Final Fantasy games aren't even 'long'.

This is honestly my all-time favorite RPG ever made. I first played this game when I was 11 years old, my Dad and I played it together. Now, 8 years later I'm still playing this game, even though I'm using a rom/emulator. Though I wish I could get my old school PS back because that would just make it all 100% perfect- even without it, my love for this game still grows. Now I just need to get it for PSP O_O! Then I would die a happy man. Fasho.
