Twilight is probably plain horrible. Not the story necessarily, but I've heard too much bad about the films, to believe they were actually decent. I've seen Vampire Diaries. It is decent, but the focus group is clearly teen girls, no offence to anyone. You can still watch it, even if you were outside of that, but if you really are, why not kiss the Diaries goodbye and start watching True Blood? Just check the IMDb focus group rating statistics. Not one of them gave TB less than 8/10. Not one.

It's very raw and hits close to home, as opposed to Twilight or the VD, which are more romanticized love stories. This is hardcore stuff, and obviously meant for a more mature audience, people should take that into consideration when they call Twilight or the VD crap or whatever. It might be preferable to another audience. Please don't hate, people... The Twilight movie is what brought other awesome stuff to light.
