As a 70's music freak, I'm a Steve Miller fan, and not a fan of remakes, etc. but...

wow really incredible voice...aside from the crappy movie and video, this song gets the hippie Seal of Approval! I'd say Seal was a major fan of a lot of 70's rock, listening to his music, or the few songs I've heard. He's got the modern "rock" ballads down.

Yes, Genesis(with Peter Gabriel singing, not Phil), Gentle Giant, Rush, etc. Beatles are faves, but strictly after they found drugs...I'm not into the bubble-gum pop early to mid 60's music, but I TOTALLY respect all of those artists. I honestly only have about 6 or 7 bands that developed after the 70's that I personally(my opinion is subject to ridicule or agreement) liked.

One of the best remakes ever recorded. Steve Miller Band's original hit was their homage to social upheaval and how music can open doors to other worlds to reach the hurting and broken among us. In Space Jam, this was a little more light-hearted but didn't Michael Jordan as a result of his basketball prowess help feed children and put shoes on their feet (literally speaking Nike Air Jordans). I love the Seal signatiure he puts on the end going back to his first big hit, "Crazy".
