Okay let me clear things up because I've had a friend in the XWL, a wrestling league here in New Brunswick.

None of the moves they do are in fact harmful to the others because they've been practised by the superstars to make it so. There's also various skills superstars use to lessen the damage done by a move, like pulling punches, falling before impact etc.

One of the most important skills is landing on your back, then slamming your hands and feet on the mat, this lessens the impact when a superstar lands on the ground from a slam, suplex, etc.

The fighting is choreographed, the words are scripted, but the risks are real. It's nothing but entertainment.
