  • Clearly ridiculous. Very few good things have come out of Buddhism.

  • stupid

  • I'm a Sri Lankan Buddhist.. The Lord Buddha never ask buddhist monk to follow this kind of magic thing..

  • @watn85 You're certainly right. But at the same time, Sri Lankan Buddhists are also far too tolerant of hindu dogmas. Why do they still accept the caste systems, for instance, and taking in many other Hindu rites.

  • @watn85 Buddha also wasnt a lord and discouraged being worshipped as one.

  • Goes to show if you really need God to make your We we bigger. God must have made you have a small one for a reason right. So you can Warship him and ask for forgiveness. And work hard on making the best of what you got. Men with Big Penis wouldn't need to warship as much cause they got the Girls and pride. Grow up people.

  • Monks are not supposed to have hair on their face. This dude has hair on his chin.

  • @Mearyeaurng Not true at all; it depends on the particular tradition and sect. Theravada monks shave everything, even their eyebrows, while some schools among the Tibetan and Zen traditions have very long hair and beards. Consider the Vietnamese Zen master, Thich Quang Do, for instance.

  • This stupid monk can bless my dick to get bigger!

  • @khmerpreah401

what a pity your dick is that small, d'ohh!! perhaps you may want 2 try 2 ask that "stupid" monk 2 bless it 2 get bigger. who knows. you'll never know till you try. if it works, certainly you'll be happy, & perhaps you'll be remorseful 4 havin' insulted him as "stupid".

are you aware of evangelical christian organiztions makin' TV shows of their theatrical acts of on-the-scene curin' of the sick & the disabled?? that "stupid" monk is nothin' compared 2 the evangelicals.

  • @khmerpreah401 If you go to Bangkok they can blow your nuts bigger. HAHAHAHA

  • i believe people have their own choice to choose their own religious. I believe all cultures, traditions and magics are all very unique as its own.

  • i believe people have their own choice to choose their own religious. I believe all cultures, traditions and magics are all very unique as its own.

  • sometime, magic can be a strong motivation of doing a certain thing. I believe a lot of students studied hard for the exam, but by the add of animism... they would have more confident in doing it. In the other hand, praising car for what? for safety in traveling? it's not gonna help when you drive too fast, cuz you will just got accident if it happens.

  • Hey im a Christian and i am not narow minded, i have read many bibles, jwish, koran, and at least 4 total to get a better understanding of a one true Gods message is. I love and enjoy the company of all people of all nations. you are not dictated by a religion but your own heart..

  • yantra angkor....

  • magic power?.WHY not,,he is a man,,We all posses magic power,,,but only few are able to use it...If this monk does a good job...let him continue his mission

  • @mocny01 bringing out the confidence within someone could come in many ways. Ultimately the bottom line is the hidden power within each human being...consciousness. Perhaps Buddha is the only person who told us the truth.

  • @97pattan you are right,,but buddas are many,,maybe even among your close friend is a humble Budda..

  • @97pattan there are may truth to all hidden things.. best option is to get all the answers and formulate it in which it makes a passage to the truth

  • @audwinj83 I agree. We really have to use our consciousness to figure out the true way. Even in Buddhist teaching you might have to filter out some of the ingredients because these are not the direct teaching from Buddha. People have added a bit here and there from their own understanding which might not be the direct teaching of Buddha (referring to the prince who became Buddha).

Eg, there is no spirit in the buddha statue but some people misunderstood that some physical spirit reside inside.

  • Thank you for uploading this video. I found it pretty interesting. I wonder what he's up to these days...

  • I'm Khmer and I say fuck Indians!

  • may he bless me frm my sins and sufferings, rinchen

  • screw jeebus lick my monks balls...

  • Hes basically cursing the who country Black Magic = HEll

  • Lol?! What does this "magic monk" have to do with buddhism....

  • I believe in Budhist. The riligion of piece, and love. Unlike any other riligion that they have to kill other peopple to go to heaven. Budhist is the riligion that teach peopple to love, to forgive and not to kill any living things. Budhist never force or any human to believe in them but to believe in themselves. Unlike Christain, they travel from one country to another counrtry to convert other riligion to believe in them. That I call a force upon which I hated so much.

  • @smarty2ful

    Buddism isnt a religion pal.

  • @haventgotoverit A religion is a set of beliefs not a god everyone has a religion because everyone has a set of belief's

  • @smarty2ful Monks used to be great arguers of their believes and yes they did tried to convert or show the light to other people... which I actually appreciate because is actually great advice. But there's also great advice in every religious book. Although, most religious books have a mix of fiction, reality, ethics, traditions and creativity. I'm atheist though but value different things from different religions.

  • some monk meditate and meditate...and like they say when you go into a deep sleep stahe...getting into deep meditation you really don't know what kind of realm you enter and what powers you possess.....buddhist is not suppose to practice magic..but if he is doing to help others..then it's a great blessing to use..not to compare, but Jesus uses his powers to help people...if magic can be attained by practice and to use for goodness only I agree to it.

  • @diamondsontherock *stage

  • I love Al Jazeera network, a better alternative to CNN bullshit.

  • ive gone to see him before

  • 0:52. The two clowns didn't study after this and not only fail, but fail miserably

    lol

  • if you don't believe , but please don't look down ! !

  • Sometimes it's a test for a monk to overcome the destructive spirit

which prevenst him becoming enlightened. The Buddha encountered

this Mara while under the Buddha Tree but he fought it so hard to become enlightened.

Meditators encounter the same kind of Mara.

The Mara is within you, not from with-out.

  • Buddhism does not allow any monk to practice any kind of magic. According to Buddhist monastic code, a monk is not allowed to claim himself as a possessor of Super Natural power. This is a great offence.

  • Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the was hopelessly full of shit.

  • I m buddhist but i don,t believe in that monk..

  • Comment removed

  • he just wanted to try the car hooter!

  • tragic punk

  • the haters are the Christian

  • @teamkvs Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh. Believeth in Him and be saved.

  • @trancemajestic

you fuckin' idiot, jesus couldn't even save himself from bein' killed on the cross, so how can he "save" fuckin' you??

what, jesus is god?? d'ohh!! so your god is a dead corpse hung on a cross ehh?? d'ohh!!

the symbol of you religion is death (the cross & the cross with the dead corpse of jesus nailed on it are symbols of death). so shut your fuckin' mouth up & fuck off.

  • @pkving no shut your foolish ignorant mouth troll

  • @trancemajestic

you tried 2 convert buddhists 2 your superstitious christianity. so i have the right 2 defend buddhism, & the most effective strategy of defence against christianity is the offence: attack it. thus no1, let alone you, can stop me.

the christian missionaries are fraudulent. they cheat the poor by posin' as charities. once the poor received candies or rice from them, they start 2 proselytize them. their ultimate goal is proselytization, not charity. so they must be banned.

  • @pkving I am sure there are those that MIS represent the Buddhist faith as well.

  • @trancemajestic

i aint sure what you mean by "MIS represent". magic?? charity??

well well, since i talked about christian missionaries posin' as charities, let's assume you talk about buddhist charity organizations. as far as i know, most of them declare openly that their mission is charity, not conversion 2 buddhism. they must be distinguished from buddhist organizations who go 2 the west not posin' as charities, but openly declarin' they're spreadin' the dharma (buddha's teachin's).

  • @teamkvs Really? I don't have any hatred or ill-feelings toward them or the "Magic Monk". It's not my job to judge them, nor the job of any Christian or non-Christian. They're also exercising a basic human right -- religious freedom and freedom to control your own thoughts. That's a beautiful thing.

This looks like a positive thing; bringing the community together. Just look at how happy the people are. And Buddhism carries a peaceful message. I think God appreciates that... that's love! :-)

  • @teamkvs you don't know how much you're wrong.

  • @teamkvs stupid

  • The magic monk knock the bumper by 3 knock, what the rational reason is... 1. before he became full tlime monk , he worked in automobile industry as QC, to check what the types of materials were used in bumper production...

    2. He push the horn button, just because to know how loud horn exceedeng sound polution or not....

  • Lok with a beard? isn't that against the rules?

  • enough of silly magic, we need enlightenment , to know our true nature

freedom from al least unnessary suffering,

and to stop bring new children into a decaying world to suffer ,out of greed..

  • The driver of shits tanker often times in argumentation with co driver....

Budhism is not religion.. all of you will heading to the hell.....use your rational mind

  • @tonyshit80 Deuteronomy 24:16

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the father. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

Nope, God agrees with Karma, your fucked bitch.

  • lol deeng

  • stupid

  • If i'm correct, this kind of magic is a low art in buddhist cannon!

  • you got that right !

  • i think is part true and not true

  • full of blind beliefs & wrong views, insulting to the Buddha. Real Buddhist monks never make magic & useless things like this, how fool this monk and people are???????????

  • we didn't believe bec we are scientist. But, it's hard not to believe that He cured my sister from black magic. My family sent sister to Vietnam, Thailand, and the US. But no treatment. Then, we sent her back to Cambo. Monk cured my sister.Believing or not is not important for us. We jus find possible ways to cure our sister. Now, my sister's health is better because his treatment 70% when doctors cannot help her. I really mad when they said, "she is normal", but why she still in bad situation?

  • this is shriek

  • can he cure baldness?

  • now lets not get CRAZY

  • no?ok

  • Can he heal amputees?

  • In western medicine, we have what is known as the placebo effect. Western doctors have given basic vitamin pills to patients for treatment of complicated diseases for decades to much success. The human body and soul is complicate and one should accept the many ways of healing it.

  • Novel award for MONK. we no need any more scientis....

How the religion foll the idiot peoples...

  • @MrTonyshit80 this is just part of our ancient life................it is a habit then tradition and then culture........we are not fool...........we know it is some kind of animism..........but we just wanna make our feeling better

hav u ever heard that if we hav good feeling........our bad health will get better n faster than taking medicine..........

  • Thanks for posting this. I will use it for my class.

  • hm,interesting. lol

  • fuck off KHENG 73

  • Buddhism in Cambodia is a little different from the original one. Hinduism has influenced the local people, so some form of Hindu still exist, as the combination between Hinduism and Buddhism.

  • FUCK YOU TO .,

  • Poor rafierafiel,,,,we pity you coz you are a poor and ignorant person. You don't know about the Lord Buddha about His life and His teaching...

Go school of life and learn, then you can back to talk...SATU

  • Buddha purpose for his follower is to pass his teachings and words. And that his follower (monks) detached themselves from the outside world. But this individual is passing on his own healing powers. How could this monk have time to learn about Dharma when he has all these crowds of so-called believers? He should use his time wisely to learn about Dharma if he is a follower and believer of Buddha.

  • Well Said, i believe in only Triple Gems Buddha,Dhamma And sangha.Lord buddha did show us the way to end of suffering (noble eightfold path) . Healing powers can be true but that is not the main thing in buddhism. thaiwanbeauy..haha nice nick

  • @pissek true.. same thing is happening in islam in indonesia...

  • What's in there that can call a magic?

  • hey im buddhism and didn't buddah found the bible before god then god found it? lol just wondering cuz i hear that sometimes like it happen a long time ago

  • no that didn't happen.

    Buddha was born around 500B.C

The bible is based on the dead sea scrolls, which is dated at 5,000B.C. Who ever told you Buddha was involved with the bible at all is a idiot.

  • Jesus lived in India for most of his life, and was probably a Buddhist. He lived and died in Kashmir, India. His name was YUZ ASAF. Research that name in Google or YouTube.

  • From rumors, ive heard he went there during his missing years in the bible, and that the indians rejected him because he preached the gospel to untouchables. But he died on golgotha, not india.

  • who ever believed in the bible is also an idiot

  • who ever doesnt believe in the bible is a fool. and i feel im just casting pearls amongst a swine.

  • oh so you believe in incest?

  • absolutely not, and i know where your going with that. In the begining, Mans blood was pure and being married to there sisters and brothers and having kids were not a crime in Gods eyes until the change of man in the tower of babel. then mans blood changed and the new law came forth to not have incest and that God despised it.

  • what about the slavery that the bible teaches..care to explain that to me?

  • I sure can. At that time there were slaves, and the law for that was for Masters to treat there servants as they would themselves, and for the servants to treat there Masters with respect. People in those times became servants either from loosing a battle, being born into it, or illegally captured to be sold as slaves. When i get a chance ill look up the verse in the bible about the Master and Servant Rules.

  • why were there even slaves to begin with? didn't man born equally (pure) as you previously said?

  • As Jesus Came then man was made equally in His eyes as the New laws came forward. Alot of people didnt like the sound of that when Jesus came.

  • Also Slaves pretty much came after tower of babel when man came divided. then different cities and lands wanted to conquer the other.

  • can you dig up the bible verse that proves that?

  • send me a message with your email and the questions you want me to answer and ill send them over to you

  • Buddha and the Bible have absolutely nothing in common. The Bible is based on the Israelites from mainly from Palestine, Persia, Egypt and Ethiopia. Buddha was an Indian.

Also, how does one find the Bible before God if God was the author of the Bible?

Buddha was alive before Jesus, but after Moses, Abraham, Jacob-Israel etc.

Some claim that Jesus lived in India and was a Buddhist named YUZ ASAF, who is buried in Kashmir near the Pakistan border.

  • wouldn't be Jesus who was buried there, Because those who believe in him know that he was resurrected and ascend in to the heavens afterwords

  • LOL, I donnot just blame the monk. I believe, he has been promoted by one of high rank leaders.

  • Remember that he can't touch money and he can't get paid money for this, all he can get is food offerings so it's not so bad.

  • mobile phone, cars, wat else? need to be heal. lol that is so ridiculous. thanks for shared anyway.

  • Mobile Phone? Car. Man!! so ridiculous. thank for the shared anyway.

  • Just because your conception of Buddhism doesn't include magic, that doesn't mean you should insult Hinduism. Belief in spirits and spirit possession, certainly, is rooted in Cambodian culture.

  • The purpose of a Buddhist's life is to attain enlightenment. Buddhists are not suppose to dwll into supernatural powers as Buddha said that it will cause suspicion Once a Buddhist attain enlightenment, he is in a blissful mental state. It is eternal and he will not suffer anymore. He will not be reborn anymore. There will not be anymore new kamma but just the old. The mental state is in its purest form as he has eradicate greed, hatred and delusion. There's no more attachment . Who needs god?

  • Buddhists should meditate to attain 4th jhana,. with the help of Vipassana meditation, one can actually heal physical and mental illness. It's real and those who know this technique will not go around boasting as it is against the teaching of the Buddha. Lord Buddha wants us to walk the path ourselves and not to rely on others all the time.

  • namo sanghaya, sabbe satta bhavantu sukkhitata!

  • why you guy acuse each other, i wonder how much education you all have about budha? do you go to religion school? all the comment yiu have expressed is reflected your ignorant, right there.

  • He just to test the mercedess how quality or not...?

  • You can believe whatever you want, you devil...this is a free world after all.

  • Buddhism is the teaching of self improvement, of compassion and reason. What's wrong with that? Seems to me that YOU were one of Pol Pot's buddies who got away! The Khmer Rouge hated religion.

  • Comment removed

  • a tmaa wat shaolin?? a tmaa mein jey kbat kun... more like a tmaa from grom baisaat!!

  • i believe in Buddhism

  • Indian Religion?

    Wow.

    You sir are an idiot.

You obviously don't know about Hinduism.

Usually religions don't START until the person is dead..

    Buddha Gautama WAS HINDU.

The "Stupid Indian Religion." you are talking about.

  • Actually pontien you have misunderstood me somewhat.

People should not believe in buddhism because its tradition.

But if they do properly follow that path than they will discover its jewels for themselves.

It is a shame that buddhism as practised in your country is such that it can be called stupid.... Buddhism is the very antithesis to stupidity

  • Buddhist is not same with others religions, even after you said shit like this, buddhist follower will not anger! They taught to respect and love all lives.

  • Go head....no one will stopping you...

  • I don't really believe in it but I always follow it cos it's my culture :D this monk used to tell me about what will happen to me in the future but I didn't mention about it cos i think it's rally to happen but finally it really happen to me feel so sad with it. Can u give me other change to redo it please.......... I want to do the right thing for myself but there would be no more change for me right? how silly am I

  • y da fuck khmai mice make fake believe "im da god son' do you believe me lol

  • hahahaha i was bless by the devil to kick ur ass lol

  • After reading everyones comment, there are many things to say that cannot be done with 500 character. First of all, the translation is not accurate, the person who translated this wasnt even cambodian, you can learn a language, bt unless you are born a cambodian you translation will always be off. Secondly I agree with alot of things people said, People have no right to say he isnt a monk, I dont not c how he lost his monk privileges? and anyone is welcome to enlighten me on this issuse.

  • i agree ...its very hard to translate khmer if ur not khmer !

  • i actually was blessed by him. that temple is pretty new too. almost everyday they would have kids dressing up in custome and do a traditonal ritual dance (those kind that suppose to scare off the demon and evil spirit) .

  • 1.10 wat r u staring at PUNK!

  • i believe in blessing ppl, but not objects. unless it's poccessed lol

  • I like Buddhism and have much respect for BuddhaDharma, but the Buddha himself forbade this kind of practice amongst his own Sangha. The Buddha said that such practices usually lead to con men and when they are discovered, the damage to the population is great because they lose faith in the teachings. Thus the monks are forbidden to show miracles or do anything for recognition or ego boosting. If the people lose faith, then the faker has done great harm to them.

  • I totally agree with u. This kind of practice causes a decline in Buddhism belief.

  • You have to understand, as a scholar, many people incorporate Buddhism to their already existing cultural beliefs. To demand an entire group of people to abandon their indigenous beliefs just to satisfy YOUR standards of what Buddhism should be, is very very unrealistic. Should Tibetan Buddhists abandon their Bon tradition? Should Chinese Buddhists discard Bodhisattva Guanying?

  • +1 There's a lot of truth in that.

  • People of all traditions sometimes have very strong healing energies. It is not about Buddhism and its beliefs - if he has developed these vibrations so highly, he probably can help cure a wide variety of ailments.

  • It's very funny about those students

  • I have an immense respect for Buddhism but this is just ridiculous. Its fine to help people by whatever means available but to actually do so for reasons without limits is absurd, especially guising as a monk.

  • Against Kasey Akira:

I assume you regard yourself as Theravadin. First, you should realise that no Buddhist sect, Theravada or Mahayana, can claim to be the sole inheritor of Sakyamuni's teachings. The Pali Canon was set down centuries after the death of Sakyamuni. Each of the eighteen Hinayana sects had subtly-different scriptures and different interpretations. Of these eighteen Hinayana sect, Theravada was merely one obscure sect which gained power due to political fortunes.

  • When Xuanzang visited India during the seventh century, he reported that virtually all Hinayana monks were Pudgalavadin. If Islam did not invade India, then you would be calling Theravadins heretics now.

In any case, scholars have long discovered different interpretations of the Pali canon. See Coomaraswamy, Edward Conze, Mircea Eliade, and others.

  • In any case, this "scientific Buddhism" or "Theravadin fundamentalism," which you, Kasey Akira, appear to espouse, is in essence a modern phenomenon based on the infiltration of western rationalism and Christian protestantism. These rationalists, who wished to portray their religion as modern, naturally projected their vain imaginations onto the ancient world.

  • All of this discussion matters little, seeing as we are fighting over names. Besides, if you, Kasey Akira, are so great, why aren't you enlightened already?

I just want to point out, that first of all you do not have a monopoly on Sakyamuni's teachings. Second, Buddha does not refer to Sakyamuni specifically. How do you know that Sakyamuni is better than Naropa, Milarepa, Nichiren, Kumarajiva, Nagarjuna, or other enlightened people?

  • And now furthermore, the Vinaya is not historically solid either: "He[Gregory Schopen] argues that there is no evidence that this represents a decline from an early period of observance, and suggests that the Vinaya may be an attempt by a self-appointed elite to impose their standards on everyone else."

  • Buddha refers to all enlightened beings. Buddha also refers to dharmakaya, tathagata, and the ground of being. Therefore, Sakyamuni, Amitabha, Vairocana, and other Buddhas are equal. Their respective followers should not attack each other out of ignorance of religious dogmatism.

Having experience in several schools of Buddhism, I have unique regard for Cambodian Buddhism, because it preserves the profound teachings of ancient tantra, Brahmanism, and esoteric Buddhism.

  • Korean and Japanese Buddhists are invariably proud of their ancient shamanic heritages. It is the liberal synthesis of shamanism, Daoism, Shintoism, and Chinese Buddhism which produced the delicate flowers of Tendai and Shingon. And what is Chan Buddhism but Daoism in Buddhist garbs?

Only people who have inferiority complexes cling to a dogmatic, rationalist version of Buddhism which exists only as vain fancy of modern humans.

  • actually not only the east, but many christian priests are able to heal with magic too, though they would call it not magic but faith

  • people are so fast to judge whats wrong and right when it comes to religion.. thinking they are certified and shit to know everyting about buddhism..especially western society. our people and monks have been doing this and embracing this for hundreds of years, even if you read hundreds of books you still will never be qualified to teach us the real meaning of buddhism...so please worry about your own RELIGION haha cause yours is not perfect either haha

  • And consider that Milarepa, one of the greatest Tibetan Buddhist yogis, began his career as a sorcerer.

There is a Chinese idiom, "not knowing the height of heaven nor the thickness of earth." It certainly refers to these wannabe-Buddhist critics here.

  • As for what sunyata88 says below, you should know that Sakyamuni acknowledges nature spirits. Both the Sutta and the Vinaya testify to his interactions with nature spirits, including several instances where he settles disputes between devata and men.

While many of Sakyamuni's followers became enlightened, Sakyamuni had greater merits because he mastered all six siddhis. Siddhis are intrinsic parts of Buddhism.

  • Those people who criticises Buddhist magic are all wannabe Buddhists, usually from non-Buddhist(western) countries, who read one or two short pamphlets then pretend that they know everything about Buddhism.

If you're familiar with the history of Buddhism, you will discover that virtually all accomplished seekers have magical powers or siddhis. This includes Theravada. In fact, the Path of Purification itself describes the acquisition of magical powers

  • Those very same scriptures make it explicitly clear that when a person has gained "powers", he must let them go to continue enlightenment. Clinging to them by using them for crowd entertainment and fame instantly gives rise to ego, removing all your progress. Claiming to have powers to non-monks is also a 3rd degree offense which can get you disrobed.

So, you learned Buddhism from a pamphlet?

  • hahahahahaha...

  • There are variation of Buddhism. Two example are Mahayan and Theravada. There even still are variation within the 2 types also. This is the same with Christianity and Islam.

  • thats like saying if you know it so well why wont you be the manager yourself? reading people comments on youtube its like they typing nonsense or they just being silly hahahaha. typing while high??? (TYH) that should be a new bilingual slang for youtube-er

  • hahah im laughing hard. people seem like they know the 'rule and 'culture' religion more than the real Buddhism them self. its ironic how people act like they know everything. imagine the vid is about business management and they act like they know how to control a business to make it more prosperous.

  • cambodia buddism is not fully followed the other buddism. there are many branches of buddism. therefore, you can not say that what he did is wrong. u cant criticize any buddism with just one country. different country has different rules.

  • There are 3 branches of Buddhism, not that many.

And one of those 3 was started by a sect of monks who, several hundred years after the Buddha's death, wanted to add their own "flavor" to the religion by including things Buddha did not - meaning they do not follow Buddhist doctrine or teachings, but still call themselves Buddhist. I'm sure there's plenty of other offshoot cults from this that call themselves "Buddhist", meaning we absolutely CAN call them wrong. Because they are.

  • People, speaking as a Theravada Buddhist, I must say that this is simply pathetic. There is nothing magic about this monk, and there is nothing BUDDHIST about this monk either! There are so many things wrong with this video I dont even know where to begin, and I wont even try to fit it into a 500 character limit.

    This is not Buddhism.

  • It's a combination of Buddhism, Hinduism and Animism.

  • As a Theravada Buddhist, you should know that Animism and Brahmanism is very much an important part of the religion. depends on location. If your in Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, you will see this a lot. Sri Lanka might have its own traditions and same with Burma.

Every buddhist faith has some infusion with another religion, from China to Japan.

Don't say its pathetic if you your self don't know how others practice Buddhism around the world, because saying its pathetic isnt very buddhist of you.

  • Ok, so if we take Islam, put in elements from the Church of Elvis, include scientology's prehistoric spaceships somewhere in there (Muhammad used them) and add just a dash of James Bond, its still "Islam"? No, its a pathetic mish-mash of myths and traditions with little, if any, of the original doctrine being acknowledged or even practiced.
