  • Just and FYI for anyone wondering.. as far as Ive read and understand, Taigen = Asiatam (or a branch of asiatam..), and its all Heng Long compatible. Also the new Asiatam Tiger I metal hull (version 2.0) is the same as the one shown in this video.

  • It's just so tempting to buy one of these :P

  • Very nice video, very impressive tank. Ik saw it on the Dutch version off Nitrotek.nl

En want to buy it, but it kost 150,00 euro en i want the white\green/brown version. How long can you drive it?

  • I've notice the European Heng Long model are different from the USA model' WHY?

  • Hi from Spain, Mike!

Is the Taigen Tiger better than the Heng Long one? There are several 1:16 Tigers around, aren´t there? Thanks!

  • did you pay extra for the color ?

  • @frankiev1231 No, it comes ready painted

  • do they make them with glow engines or gasoline power , engines ... i have been looking around...

    Michael

  • @FORMATERMAN I don't know, I have seen some on the web however

  • I have bought it two weeks ago. It's great, especially the painting. But don't you get the impression, that the canon is a little too short? Compare pictures and diagrams of the real tank(the middle part of the cannon). Most of other Heng Long Tigers also have this problem.

  • @Harpia79 Hi, not noticed that here, all seem good?

  • @mikesndbs Hello! I checked it- now I'm sure that all have this shorter canon.Only the customised tanks, with metal canons installed have the right proportions.the middle-thick part should be longer- about 2,5cm more(sorry for my english by the way).

  • dose the tracks come off easy when turning or do they stay on well

  • @Roadcold I have not found any trouble even with spirited driving

  • dear santa

  • Thanks for the great video :)

Question, are the controls digitally poportionally controlled?

  • @sbglobal I think so, speed is variable over a good range

  • very nice video, i was thinking of getting this tank and you convinced me. Thanks alot :)

  • Damn you for upoading this !!!!! I want one now :-) looks way better than the old ones. Cheers Dan.

  • @calypsodan LOL sorry hahahah, be sure to check out my video featuring this tank in the forest doing battle!

  • Tank is good, all is metal... I have one!!! But sound and command is terrible, is very nice with elmod.

  • AWSOME!! tank and the british are awsome that means your awsome

  • @faderlader You are too kind sir :)

  • Hello greetings from Chicago. Does this thing have a metal torsion bar suspension or otherwise a Asiatam lower metal hull? thanks

  • @vhd72 Hi, yes and yes :)

  • @vhd72 And greetings from Baltimore

  • @faderlader Greetings from West Sussex UK :)

  • Hi, I got in touch with Nitrotek today to ask about new stock of these tanks, here is the answer. Hello Mike,

We will hopefully be receiving some more tanks before Christmas. This news isn't concrete yet, but we are hoping to receive a new container load.

Keep up the good work as well because those video's are really good!

So it might be an idea to pre order, other outlets are of course available.

  • @mikesndbs Hi Mikesndbs can i use the smoke oil from model trains for my model tank? Please answer :)

  • @Headjangle Hi, I think the best answer would be that you should always use the intended product, however, I think you could try some and see what happens? maybe let us all know here.

  • @mikesndbs Ok thanks Mikesndbs :) i will try it ;)

  • @Headjangle And is you tank made out of metal? :)

  • I'm so confused, shall I get this Tank or the Taigen Panzer IV???

  • @999fatface I'd say get this one, its by far the coolest! the Tiger was the boss tank :) if you want to see it in real action up against an enemy then please check out my other video 'Battle tanks in the forest'

  • @mikesndbs Yeah its a really cool tank, but quite a bit out of my budget and there are quite a few videos on this particular tank having gearbox problems and manoeuvre ability problems so I think I will get the Panzer, do you think you could do an in depth review on the Panzer or not?

  • @999fatface I saw another comment you made but it seems to have vanished, I'd love to do a review of the Panzer but can't really afford it just now, I am independent of the shops etc. what I'd say to you is that if you want the Tiger then don't buy something else, save up for the Tiger, I have had no issues with mine, I think people need to understand and use the trimmer controls with this one, I have been very pleased at just how controllable it is! low speed etc.

  • @mikesndbs Oh ok dw, I think I may be able to get the tiger but, I haven't seen one site with it in stock :(

  • Thank you does it require any battery's like aa batterys and

yes I am going to bye one

  • @spitfire538 Hi, you will need 8 AA batteries for the controller but they come with it! the battery in the tank is rechargeable! I very much recommend getting the upgraded battery as well as the one it comes with, this will give you much longer running time! Charge time can be worked out as follows, capacity of battery pack divided by the output of the charger, so a 3000ma/hour pack with a 500Ma charger = 6 hours (if the battery is flat) do check out my tanks in the forest video and comment :)

  • Thanks a vid that is atually usefull

  • @spitfire538 Very kind of you to say! have you got or are you planning to get one of these then? if you check my featured video you can see this tank in action in the woods :)

  • Very similar box and tank to another make of Tiger 1 RC tanks, I used to have one but it looked like the picture on the box in this video and was mostly plastic, it was the same scale but didnt look as accurate at the Tiger in this video.

  • @fallschirmjager0000 Yes indeed, it would seem Heng Long and Taigen are one and the same? I am very pleased with this one, the hull is all metal and there are many metal fittings etc. Thanks for watching, please consider subscribing as I am working on a new video with this and one other tank!

  • @mikesndbs I must say its a lovely job they did with the paint work, its a very accurate late war model. I already did subscribe :D

  • @fallschirmjager0000 Fine fellow :-) and I have subbed to you as well

  • Hi Mike,

It's a great video and the only one that i've found that introduces Taigen Tiger I.

i have a few questions though:

are both lower and upper hulls made of metal?

    is anything made of plastic?

How long can it run approximately and which battery are you using?

Can it shoot BB's while moving?

    Thanks,

  • @idinnet Hi and thanks, only the lower hull is all metal, the upper is plastic with metal details.

I am using the extra capacity battery as indicated in the video, running time depends on load but I would expect about 20 good mins.

Yes it can shoot BBs while running.

  • Mrs B. wants one of these

  • @happybonzo They are nice!

  • So many views, so few comments LOL

  • Extra note, don't put too much smoke oil in or it won't smoke! oil can be removed from the chamber but its a fiddle!

  • :( i want one :)

  • @Stagecoach16281 LOL they are nice Sam :-)
