I love this song! There is a Christmas lights show for charity about 30 minutes from my house called Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland and they play this among other songs. I love that they have the guts to use this song. I hate how places like WalMart only say Merry Christmas because of all that racket a couple of years ago where stores were being noted for NOT saying it.

about 5 years ago, i switched from baptist to Catholic. i left the baptists when i saw that the Christian Church had to exist ever since the Apostolic era. no protestant or baptist or restorationist sect has been around that long. also, many protestants and baptists and restorationists claim that the Bible is the only source for Christian teaching. yet the Bible cannot be the only source for Christian teaching. one should focus on the fact that Christianity existed before the Bible did.

CHRISTmas is celebrated on the same day as an ancient festival for a reason. Jerks like you attack and even kill people who exclaim Jesus Christ as God because youre scared of what it means. If Christians celebrated on his actual birthday, they would have been executed immediately. They chose to celebrate on a day when those that hated them would be to busy to notice so they could stay alive. December 25th was picked out of necessity and stayed because of tradition.

At my brother's elementary school for choir they have to sing Hanukkah songs AS WELL AS Kwanza and Christmas songs. I find that excessively stupid. Who really cares?
