  • @TheClassifiedMan December 10 against Max Alexander, he won!

  • When was the fight and who was it with?

  • Get em Roy oowww oowww

  • im from ireland beside the uk what time will it be over here for me till watch??

  • Roy is my favorite fighter ever but he always says everybody thinks im washed up.....but i got this and that....but when he gets in the ring he barely throws5 punches a round

  • lets go roy i know u can do it.

  • Who the hell is Max?!

  • Let's go ROY!!!! Put em to sleep December 10th use good defense and be smart you can't keep getting hit you shouldn't be getting hit period I hope he goes out there and doesn't play around and lay on the ropes and get beat on rather ppl like it or not max Alexander could knock Roy out if he catches him but let's pray and hope that it doesn't happen after this retire Roy you don't have anything else to prove go Roy!!!

  • I wish the Tito fight should of happen back then too, but I think Roy would have won it pretty easy back then. Actually I think Pre-heavyweight version of Roy Jones would have beating all the guys he lost too, with those opponents being put on the list of bums. The same lists the critics/haters claim Roy ain’t fight no one good. They also see Roy as the same fighter even though he dropped all that weight from HW to LHW. That is what destroyed RJJ of old, any trainer/doctor will tell you.

  • @wachilleb

I agree! I have a lot to say about this but I will keep it short. The Ultimate Goal of fighting is learning to hit your opponent without getting hit in return. It's the next best thing to not fighting at all (Art of War).Supreme prep & Skill to not allow your opponent/s to test you is the goal.Their is not a Gym in world that you will enter where you will be taught how to get Cut or Knock Down. This happens to a fighter when he can not prevent it.The critics will only tolerate cont.

  • @wachilleb

This for so long. Then they flip it.It translates into "You haven't fought any body until you allow some one to test you". And the first person that gives you hell in the ring was somebody! Boxing has some wild psychology with it.Another thing is...To remain at the top of your field for 15 yrs or so, It takes a lot of effort to show up each & every time out & dominate! Once you have achieved so much the hunger is no longer there.Your just going through the motions cont..

  • @wachilleb

RJ moved to HW for the challenge. And it's a shame that he had to make that caliber of move for a challenge. Now! After 14yrs or so of constant training, dedication & accomplishments & your career is on DVD.A fighter is going to come along who hasn't done anything impressive period. No one knows him.And for yrs he has been eating, sleeping & drinking you! And hes hungry! Probably has a life size card board cut out of your image that he spits on before he leaves the house lol cont

  • @wachilleb

You are not thinking about him.But hes been training to meet your upwards of 4-5 yrs And he wants a shot! By the time that this fight happens hes fresh,Hes excited,He has plenty of energy because he hasnt actually performed above 55mph in his entire career,More focused than ever,He wants recognition,A pay day ect.All of these feelings that are new to him are old to you.For 10yrs or so while you where working hard he was relaxing. Now this is his shot. This is my take on Jones vs Tarver

  • @ESSENCEOFEACHTHING

Yes all real talk about the Tarver situation. I also agree with you in another video when you said Roy's punch resistance is gone since dropping back down in weight everything has slipped on him. Hopefully he will have enough in him to pull another Lacy type performance and call it day this next fight.

  • @wachilleb

@ 1:20 of this clip it looks like Roy snuck the man from the front lol One of the baddest of the baddest!

  • @wachilleb

Amongst these 3 fighter's.Roy would have beaten them. But I see it like this. What do you think?

1.Ray Leonard would have been Roy's easiest fight.

2.Hearns would have been his most difficult.

3.Hagler would have been his toughest.

  • @wachilleb

Roy Jones is one of my idols. And I do sincerely hope that he would consider retiring from the sport. But he probably has this thing "Just one more time! Just one more time!" It's an itch that he can't scratch unless he's in there.I understand. But the health risk involved just aren't worth the risk.Much younger fighters succumb to injury's all of the time. I don't want to continue seeing him take the risk.

  • Max Alexander: "Roy Goes In Six Or I’ll Forfeit My Purse"

  • gotta love roy jones jr! best boxer to step into the ring

  • @gpc0708 im from louisiana too nig i stay in baton rouge

  • @cheeseboro can u give us a preview of wat Roy has cumin up

  • lol stupid fool. Coming in the Ring near you.... a former self Roy Jones jr.

  • @MrMarco4ever I have been around Roy for a while now and to be honest, I haven't seen him train this hard in a while... He will be ready!

  • @cheeseboro How long you known Roy? Are you one of his trainers? Does RJJ still work with Roy Sr? You got anymore exclusive footage coming?

  • @cheeseboro

Since Boxing is a young man's sport most fighters don't have a style that will carry them above the age of 35,36.I think that what's important is what a fighter accomplished from the time that he turned pro to 34,35.This is a Boxers Lifetime on which he should be measured.I think that one thing that Roy needs to do to increase his success at this stage of his career is to guard his chin with a stern defense."One way in,One way out!" defense. Work hard Champ!

  • @ESSENCEOFEACHTHING

in some fights he adapted his style pretty well and looks great, like when he fought Tito, he was nervous about Tito’s punching power early on so he did the Winky Wright style of defense kept his hands up and the same thing in the Lacy fight early on. He win’s the fights in good fashion then he gets cocky for his next match ala Joe C, Green. Then reverts back to his old ways thinking he’s back in his prime and usually pays for it.

  • Roy needs to adapt his style for being slower since he is being easier to hit now. Most fighters he fights now all know his tricks and know exactly where to hit him to make him fall.

  • @wachilleb

Ok.Thats a good assessment.I wish that the Jones vs Trinidad fight had taken place back in 02.If Tito had gotten passed Bernard he was going to move up in weight again to challenge Roy Jones! The only thing that I was concerned about was that Roy had a tendency to pull backwards to avoid punches. And Tito reached with his Left Hook.I would have had Roy defeating Tito but that was a big concern. And that would have been a big shark to shut up some of the critics.Tito was hot in 01.

  • Love this man, he is without a doubt one of the greatest naturally gifted fighters ever...but please roy you gotta stop fighting now, you got your kids, you got money, your health is still there all praise to god, gotta hang the gloves up bro, get in to training other fighters, live through them please, we do not want to see you seriously hurt..

  • @gpc0708 hes my favorite boxer of all time also

  • @gpc0708 U rite my boy, when he's motivated, he cant lose, dats y he was doin so well n da first 2 rounds of da calzaghe fight he was motivated n accurate, but when hes not motivated (tarver 3, glen johnson, hopkins) den he performs horribly

  • I sat down with Roy and he kinda put me on to the plan he has to regain his form as a champion. This is going to be something EPIC!

  • @cheeseboro I hope this comeback will be something special. The main thing I noticed with Roy is that he's been inconsistent in his last 5 or so fights. His performance against Sheika and Lacy was impressive, his speed and power was on point and he didn't seem to be fatigued. Then his last 3 fights, all of which he lost he just didn't look motivated, like he didn't have it in him to fight. He needs to stay focused, train hard and get in great shape, and most of all be confident and believe in himself.

  • @gpc0708 Agreed! I can tell you he has been training very hard because for a guy like him, being told "he's washed up," is motivating him. If you are in Atlanta =, you should come. If not, it will be on internet pay-per-view.

  • @cheeseboro Exactly,I know he wants to prove he can still be champion. His own fans are saying he's washed up, so that's definitely motivating him to go out there give a phenomenal performance. And I live in Louisiana, sucks i can't go to the fight but I will be watching on the internet.I am a boxer myself, and Roy is my fav fighter so I'm definitely tuning in to watch him.

  • @cheeseboro why does roy have a mini mountain on his head?

  • @cheeseboro

Roy is one of my favorite fighters of all time.Amazing in his prime! People still need to be reminded of the fact that he made the move to Heavy Weight and defeated John Ruiz to become The Heavy Weight Champion.Roy doesn't have the style to carry him into later age.Because his style is built on Speed,Reflexes and split second timing. In his prime he had laser speed,Thunderous Power & spider reflexes. His strengths were PRONOUNCED His style is specifically suited for a younger athlete
