I am also in the Central Florida area but on the other end of that parking lot called I-4
I have been thinking of getting three one being only a 20ft and sinking it like a septic tank under the two above it as the root celler / walking in meat cooler to keep our food cooler well help keep it longer
@RCvolunteer1978 Sounds like a good idea. I went in some caves in the dead of summer in Tillis Hills(Brooksville) and they were surprisingly cool(temperature wise) !
@homesteadprepper I did not say to cut the roof but to cover the 20 ft on three sides with our wonder sand the four door side could be ramp down as a semi-truck / loading dock ramp so that a semi unload pellets of dry goods and /or beds table chairs to the top cargo cantainer while the ramp will have to have very good drainage away from the 20 ft below but it can be done / I have seen it done on a miliarty base long ago
That's good..,hopefully they were skillfully tack welded. You don't want to penetrate that roof in any way if you can help it. I have a 40' x 9'. Some people ventalate it through the top as well with those spinning vents. I strongly advise against it. Good luck with them!
@Stucknarutt I have not removed the lights yet but, their are 2 inch x1/4 threaded rods that are somehow mounted to the ceiling. I have been on the roof of the container and have seen no penetrations.
@ReliantJustUsProject There is a place on highway 60 called A American container and their ph. is 813-740-1911. They are a little bit pricey. You will get your best deal off of craig's list. It may need a little paint or some minor fixing but you will save a lot of money. I hope that helps.
@texasprepper2The first 1 to 3 ft is gray or black top soil, then 1-3ft white or yellow sand, 1-4ftbrown,1ft of black or dark brown hard pan, more sand then red clay in this area. What you are seeing in the video is sand that I excavated from our private borrow pit. When I get through with the containers, I will put you first in line to get one during the "great shipping container give away". The other container I will put up for as a prize in my 1 billion subsciber appreciation contest. LOL !
@goosearrow LOL! Some of the worst wiring I ever saw was in a home where they had those open flying splices with clothes pins being used as wire nuts! I have also seen kitchens and room additions wired using orange extension cords or lamp cord !
I know a farmer who lost all of his equipment one night (trucks, tractors, tools, combine, seed corn, etc) when his large shed burned to the ground. A year later he lost his farm. That is why old farms have so many small sheds spaced out across the farm instead of one large one next to the house. If you loose one, you haven't lost everything. It can make the difference between hard times and loosing everything you have worked so hard for.
