wow, killer footage! i love every song on this album. it's a toss up between this and The Clash if I could only listen to one band for the rest of my life.
yes! v laughable but in some bizarre absurd way, couldn't be more true! The last 30 seconds or so, when Jaz contorts into some freaky horror piece, I would nominate as the scariest and most intensely performed piece of their long glorious career. Cheers!
@julosx Yeah, heart attack in sleep? I believe it was Ministry he was working with at the time?? I may be wrong. His work with the Joke, Prong and October File(producer) will be remembered.
@TheRealCritique Word. Killing Joke is easily the best band of the 80's. I love Bauhaus, early U2, REM, Joy Division and The Cure. However, those guys are but the students. KJ are the masters.
Ha. I was actually in that concert!! It was in the good old Alabamahalle! Hard to believe thats 23 years ago. I was 18 back then. Now I am old :-( KJ rock!!!
Man. That baseline along with those of other KJ songs made me wanna start with that instrument too. What a bad player I was (I quit), but playing along those lines for rehearsal and pure freakin'fun was really something.
he worked with ministry (AL) in london and us the vanguard

This video certainly does not do this entrancing song much justice.

RIP, Raven!
but as jaz said last year in berlin, they talked to raven via a medium and he's fine in the next world... good old jaz and his mysticism! (c;

This may be the darkest song on the darkest record ever made. An Absolute masterpiece.

I bought my bass for that very reason myself. This song is incredible! RIP RAVEN!

I'm a bass player and I've fonud some of their basslines to be tougher than expected, not so much in notes, but in attack.
