  • Sometimes even musicians get extra inspiration, Ever notice?

  • Her voice got to really show off here, In a way I wish I lived in these times. Music was music...

  • @katrobella You and I both. They got by on talent alone, not autotune and skimpy outfits.

  • very nice, but nothing tops the Betty Everett / Jerry Butler version.

  • I love Nina Simone. There will never be another voice like this. She is indeed in a league of her own.

  • this is amazingly beautiful! why do we have this crap music nowadays? this is the real stuff!

  • Good

  • et oui....."Let It Be Me" is a popular song originally published in 1955 as "Je t'appartiens". The score was written and first recorded by Gilbert Bécaud.

  • so beautiful...one of my favorites. timeless.

  • Sam Waymon, Nina's brother, was the accompanist. Sam is still singing and performing. I should know...I am in a band fronted by Sam. He sounds great...

  • @jazzbass25 WOW! There must have been so much talent in that family. It's sad that Nina had to go through so much suffering in her later years. I saw her perform in Rome in 2002. She was obviously tired, but incredibly dignified and queenlike. George Harrisno had just died and I just knew she would change her program to include "Here Comes the Sun". And she did. She was a major cultural protagonist of the XX century, whose work is only begining to be recognized. Give Sam my love from Italy

  • thank you for posting

  • Wow, ...

God bless the day I 've found you ...

Did you know about that ?

  • Excellent. Well done for finding and posting. Beautiful rendition!

  • this song is just magical

    no matter who sings it

  • of course!

  • The 2 voices do blend well. I was wondering who was the accompagnying voice.

    thanks for posting!

  • It's Nina with her brother Sam, recorded in 1971 ;)

  • Wasn't flutist Hannibal the accompanying voice?
