  • Break out the kiteboards... Walk the lines.... Clip the chicken loop and 1130 - 200, 1200 - 200, and your off...

  • for me thats time to go surfing not sailing

  • JUst last year there were 100 mph winds across the lake and 6 foot waves at north shore with a few 7 foot sets saw some people surfing not to much really windy though but I bet there were some waves around 10 feet out in the middle of the lake!

  • so much hate in these comments. i surf in milwaukee on lake michigan and im just stoked to see a lake much smaller than ours produce some ridable surf.

  • @mfurstenau88

Indeed! The Columbia River has some rideable waves too, and I've heard of wind-generated wave riding in Klamath Lake and the Great Salt Lake on rare occaision when a storm blows through. You Great Lakes surfers are real diehards since the best waves happen late in the fall just before things really ice over. Great Lakes surfers have my deepest respect...you make good with what you've got, and when it happens, you don't waste any time.

  • Off the grid means no PG and E. I have power, satellite, y fi. I guarantee you I am more of a mountain man than your little punk ass. I ll see you on the mountain. Just hope that we all continue to spend money up there, guppy.

  • Very few boats on Tahoe in the winter, this looks more like late September. Tourist.

  • Dont call him a tourist you little douche nozzle. We are all tourists. Do you travel around to ski, or are you so broke you just stay in Tahoe.? I live off the grid in the mountains above Santa Cruz. Anyone tries to call me a tourist when Im ripping Heavenly or Kirkwood gets clocked. Theres idots that just moved up there from Sacramento and they instantly claim Tahoe as their sovereign right. Where are you from? Huh boy? If I had been there I would have surfed BTW video's from a local paper

  • Not quite sure what you are talking about... First off if you love off the grid why are you watching u tube videos. Second if you live near Santa Cruz and are "Ripping Heavenly or Kirkwood" you ARE a tourist in Tahoe just as I would be a tourist if I was surfing in Santa Cruz. Thirdly I was born in Tahoe and have been there ever since (outside of college).

  • And lastly you know nothing of the lake proven by your ignorance in analyzing my post. The video is titled "winter storm..." if you knew anything about the area you would certainly know that 98% of the boats are off the water by October first. Looking at the buoy fields there are a few more than that in the vid. But you would probably already know that because you "rip" Heavenly. Stick yourself back in the grid and get a clue.

  • You are the poster child for the tool nation... Boy.
