ive seen dutton since he was lil because he attended the same camps and clinics i went to and he has always been strong, but i have never seen brown before but i am very impressed on how he wrestles does very well against strong wrestlers

yesterday in the state tourney dutton lost in the first round. He was the favorite going into the tourney and he had a cradle locked up and he got called for a d-fence pin. Steve wud wrestleback for thrid though. Devon Brown did not place in the state tourney as he lost in the quarterfinals and then lost in the wrestlebacks, to Mike Hromada frmo suffolk, Hromada in the next round wud lose to PUAL LIGOURI IN THE wRESTLEBACKS, as paul LOST IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE TOURNEY

I Noticed that there was not a good balance overall between the large schools and the small schools, I would recommend making the small school limit at least 750 to balace out

both Big and small Divisions.

It proves that having a wild card In each weight class make Wrestling more competitive.

I just wish our Section could be as strong as Section 11, 2 or 5, they always seem to have some outstanding wrestlers each each.

Brown was looking for Dutton to actualy wrestle, but he didnt, didnt change levels ONE TIME, didnt take a single shot, and being on his heels the entire time, wasnt planning to, just looking to counter or not give up a takedown. Brown wasnt looking for the cement mixer, he was looking to tilt, but Dutton based out rather than moved as to not get caught in a 2on1 and tilted, good idea if ur opponent didnt have a mixer in his pocket. if u base out on bottom, and dont do anything cuz u dont wana get tilted, and ur oponent spins out front(which he didnt immedatly go outfront as u can see-he gave him the opening-brown took it) then u have to expect them to try something else. By no means was he looking for it. It was there he took it

devon brown is amazing .... ive wrestled him b4 and have been to plenty of tourneys with him as a competitor ... all of the upstate wrestlers are tough but devon has won every single match of that cement mixer no one can counter it and thats basically the only thing he knows.... i dont think he can hold the pace he was pushing he really relies on that pin

Hersey was a senior from Commack High School who took 6th place at 125 pounds in the Suffolk County Wrestling Championships. Dutton wrestled up a weight class and lost to him 7-5 in a December tournament.
