dawg take it easy. that's how genius starts. Pac R.I.P started lyf in d ghetto. Dogg too, Trae and Z-ro the Kings of Ghetto. Scarface R.I.P. Easy E RIP. it's not an easy job holding the mic tightly close ya mouth spitin out on the stage. respect good job. bounce back. the poor studios and bad govt retards Nig's Hip Hop.
It's a good emulation. To grow to be a refined artist, prominent elements of traditional music which are woven into the rap are essential. Why deny your own rich culture by reducing yourself to mimicking American rap?
BTW, those comments in "ghetto ebonics", they have satire value only, even real hood rats don't use them anymore - ever since the dialect was colonized by fetishists.
well... all most every nigerian musician potray our culture in their musik... if one or two mimick the americans i think one pardonable... what u think?
Well... i think most nigerian artists protray their culture in their musik... if one or two mimmick the americans i think its no problem.. in germany germans dont sing volks musik rather they sing soul pop and rap... the world is changing mein lieber :)
@ezimora you are right my friend the world is changin men, and am happy to hear this kinda stuff from our boys, I also like to thank Drenco, he really needs to keep this up.
"in germany germans dont sing volks musik rather they sing soul pop and rap"
Good point. However there is a difference in culural fluidity and embacing other methods, and trying to display someone you are not. If you listen to MC Solaar who is rapping too, you will find his own unique style with elements from African and French migrant culture. He's not trying to sound like an American. As for German/Turkish boys trying to emulate hyper-masculine Ghetto gansters, that's also painful to watch.
Yo hoo i am living in coal city, yea lets flow like coca cola, hooo. u listing guy? come on lets flow yea aha. that is how we do it in Coal city. yea. lol.
